Trusting God When You Have Nothing Else to Hold Onto

  • Have you ever been in a position in your life where the only One to hold onto was God? It can be a scary time or it can be a freeing time. Trusting God completely is exactly where God wants you to be. The Holy books say: Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. So how do you trust in the Lord with all your heart? Stop leaning unto your own understanding.

Once you begin to know Who God truly is, it is very simple to trust Him. You can look back in your life and see how many times He has proven Himself trustworthy. God is also a Faithful God. When God says He will do something for you, He WILL do it. God does what He says and says what He does. He is so consistent and never changes. Would you not want to trust the God Who is true to His Word?

Many times we look at our circumstances and wonder where God is. The key is to turn your focus from your circumstances unto God. The word circumstance means to stand in a circle. If you are standing in a circle right now, where is God? He is right there in the midst of it with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. In fact, He cannot. God is true to His Word. Begin to focus on the Trustworthy God right now. Listen to what He is telling you. He does have a way of escape from your circumstances. You just need to ask Him where the door is located and follow Him through that exit door.

I have had many experiences in my life where I literally had no one else to turn to except for God and that is a good thing. He has proven to me that He can be trusted. The time you spend with the Creator of this Earth, the more you will get to know Him in an intimate personal way. He desires to fellowship with you throughout the day and night. Decide to get to know God in a way that you can trust Him when your circumstances seem to be so overwhelming for you.

What do you believe God's perspective is concerning your circumstances? Why not ask Him? God has the answer for every problem or obstacle you are presently facing. Prayer works. Praise works. Listening works, too. But when you get to the point of abandonment and total surrender, you will then see God for Who He truly is - A Trustworthy God.

You are not really sure how much time you are going to spend on this Earth, so you might as well begin to invest time seeking and finding God. He promises those who search for Him with all their heart will find Him. When you do find Him, it is awesome. He has so much to share with you, but you must be willing to seek and find Him.

What if you are in need of provision right now? Who do you turn to? God is THE Provider. He is our Provider. He is God Almighty, and The God of More Than Enough. God can provide for you exactly what you need and then some. Do you trust Him for more than enough or barely enough? He is the All Sufficient One. God's grace is sufficient. Why not go to the One Who has already provided everything you will ever need by His grace?

The choice is up to you.
