I doubt that there is one person alive that can honestly say that they have no stress in their lives. Even happy things like weddings and births cause a kind of stress. What matters most is how we handle our stress. If you are stressed out and experiencing hair loss; the two are most likely connected to a certain degree. There are different kinds of stress that can affect us and I believe they are all interconnected. There are ways to reduce stress levels and become healthier in the process.

    Types of Stress

Emotional stress is often brought on by conflict, illness, injury, and trauma. Loss of a job, relocation, or loss of a loved one or pet can create emotional stress as well. Out of the stress, some people may develop nervous habits. Nervous habits include rubbing the scalp excessively and literally pulling your hair out.

Physical Stress can be an illness including chronic illnesses such as Diabetes or Asthma. When the body is attempting to heal itself, sometimes the energy used to grow hair for example is sometimes diverted to the area where the most healing needs to happen.

Physical stress could also include pregnancy, child birth, menstruation, and menopause. In these cases, hormone levels are erratic and could affect the hair follicles by damaging them or shrinking them. This would be noted as less and less visible hair on your head. Once the physical stressors are reduced or eliminated, you may see some re-growth of hair over time.

Spiritual Stress could be a crisis in faith, negative events in the church, or restriction of the freedom to worship as one desires to worship. Life events such as the death of a loved one, all kinds of abuse, or loss of a job to name a few can trigger questions about your faith in God no matter what religion you adhere to.

    Effects of Stress

Stress of all kinds affect us in various ways. Some of you may over-eat while others may not eat enough to be healthy. Some may be feeling depressed which causes worry, which can deepen the depression. Some may develop chronic symptoms such as stomach or headaches. Others may develop heart problems or other health conditions such as Asthma.

Stress can cause hair loss because nervous habits as has been mentioned - may cause you to rub on your scalp too much or to pull on your hair even pulling some out. This can cause breakage, hair follicle damage, and hair loss.

    Managing Stress

It is important for mental, physical, and spiritual health to learn ways to manage your stress. If you have a hobby of some kind, this can help you to unwind and put things out your mind for a little while.

Learning relaxation techniques can not only benefit your mind and spirit, but your body as well. As you learn to relax your body, your entire being could become more relaxed. This could result in the reduction in nervous habits and anxiety levels. Relaxation techniques can be done almost anywhere.

If necessary, you may want to talk to a therapist to help you understand what is triggering the stresses. You may also learn how to identify stress triggers and how to cope with them when they come to light. A therapist can help you to learn these relaxation techniques. Yoga is extremely helpful in reducing stress, toning your body, and making it more flexible. The healthier your body is, the healthier your hair will be.

    Conclusion

Hair loss has many causes, especially stress. Stress is no respecter of persons. No one escapes. Everyone has stress to one degree or another. Stress can affect you physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Stress can affect hormone levels, health concerns, and even hair loss. Stress can cause nervousness that result in pulling your hair out or rubbing your scalp too much. Your doctor or your therapist can teach you techniques to manage your stress, stabilize moods and hormones, and relax. Once stress is reduced or manageable, hair may grow again over time.

A Person, who has controlled his mind, can achieve any success in his life. How far you are trying to control your mind?
The mind that judges not others ever remains tension-free.
