From what i think ... life is to be lived in stages ... and at each stage u go one level up on the ladder of spirituality ...
At this stage in life, even though we may be able to realize in theory a lot of things that are discussed in spirituality, we may not be able to put them into practice .... and maybe thats because our mind is not able to comprehend how to put into action all these things that we read about ...
And of course, some people are able to put these things into practice at an earlier stage in life than others ...
Even Sai Baba conditioned his devotees depending on the level of spirituality that they were in .. he did not have the same method for every one ... it varied depending on the devotee ...
So the best thing for each one of us to do is to accept the way we are, the way we think and believe ... but just keep in mind that we do not hurt others ... thats abt it ...
So if the way we accept love or show love is to a chosen few .. then so be it ... if we try to put ourselves under certain spiritual restrictions that we are not able to practically follow .. then it will not serve either purpose ...
So what ever way you choose to receive or give love, just continue to follow it ... At the same time we continue to strive to achieve the higher spiritual stage in a natural manner .... there will definitely come a stage in life when we automatically realize the meaning of all these words, and this stage may come in at different times for different people .... But when it comes, we will be at a better position to put into practice all these words ..
Till then, to each his own ...
