Nanavalli
Es gab in Shirdi einen urigen und seltsamen Burschen mit Namen Nanavalli. Er kümmerte sich um Babas persönliche Angelegenheiten. Einmal näherte er sich Baba, der auf Seinem Sitzkissen saß und bat Ihn aufzustehen, weil er sich dorthin setzen wollte. Sofort stand Baba auf und machte ihm Platz. Nanavalli saß eine Weile dort, stand dann auf und bat Baba, Seinen Platz wieder einzunehmen. Als baba wieder auf Seinem Platz saß, fiel Nanavalli Ihm zu Füßen und ging dann fort.
Baba zeigte nicht das geringste Missfallen daran, dass man Ihm Vorschriften gemacht hatte und Er von Seinem Platz verdrängt worden war. Dieser Nanavalli liebte Baba so sehr, dass er 13 Tage nach Babas Tod seinen letzten Atemzug tat.

Chapter 10

Nanavalli

There was in Shirdi, a very quaint and queer fellow, by name Nanavalli. He looked to Baba's work and affairs. He once approached Baba who was seated on His Gadi (seat) and asked Him to get up, as he wanted to occupy the same. Baba at once got up and left the seat, which he occupied. After sitting there awhile Nanavalli got up, and asked Baba to take His seat. Then Baba sat on the seat and Nanavalli fell at His feet, and then went away. Baba did not show the slightest displeasure in being dictated to and ousted.

This Nanavalli loved Baba so much that he breathed his last, on the thirteenth day of Baba's taking Maha-Samadhi.
