  • Vedic knowledge is spread in several treatises like Veda, Vedangas, Nirukt, Brhmihns, Puranas etc. We give here a brief introduction about the knowledges.

    This will guide you to take to the right branch of knowledge. For Sanskrit Scholars and Reserchers or those who have interest in the highest spiritualism like "Brahm" Veda - It is in 4 volums - Rik, Yaju, Sam & Atharvan Brahmins - These are many, these contain a simpalizesd interpretation of Vedic-Knowledge.

    These explain about God, The Creation and The Universe. As this knowledge was 'SEEN' by the ancient sages, we call this knowledge 'Darshan' ( A Sanskrit word denoting the verb 'to see' = Pholosophy. Shatpath Brahmin is believed to be the best of these. Upnishad - these are 11 in numbers. In these you will find the teachings over the way of living. Nirukt - This has special interpretation about God and his overall existence. this is believed to be Veda in short. For Hindus who have interest in religion and devotion Puranas - These are 18.

    The almost festivals and worshipping systems of Hindu Worship is originated from here.

    A brief introduction of these are as follows -

    Brahma Puran - All about Lord Brahma
    Vishnu Puran - All about Lord Vishnu
    Shiv Puran - All about Lord Shiva
    Vaman Puran - The discription of the Vaman (Shortman) - incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
    Matsya Puran - The discription of the Matsya (Fish) - incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
    Barah Puran - The discription of the Varah (pig) - incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
    Kurma Puran - The discription of the Kurma - incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
    Ling Puran - About the devotion of Lord Shiva.
    Skand Puran - About Lord Skand - Kartik - the brother of Lord Ganesh.
    Narad Puran - The teachings of Sage Narad Markandey Puran - The techings of Sage Markandeya
    Padma Puran - About Padma = Lotus - The favourite of Lord Vishnu.
    Agni Puran - About Agni = fire - the representative of Lord Vishnu.
    Vrahmavaivarta Puran - About God and his creation with worldwide characteristics in the future.
    Bhavishya Puran - All about the future of this world.
    Brahmand Puran - All about the universe.
    Bhagwat Puran - All about Lord Krishna and his life & Teachings.
    Garud Puran - All about the life after death.

    Samhitas -

    These are many. Mostly they have teachings over Hindu Puja ( worship ) System but sometimes also about astrology and other topics. Every sages has his own and very wise teachings in this.
    For example -

    Vashishtha Samhita, Narad Samhita. For Hindus and Non-Hindus who have interest in hindu-philosophy, religion & spiritualism

    Geeta - The most famous spiritual work on the papers. This has all the gist of spiritulism, veda and philosophy. This teaches from all the corners of life to live happily, wisely and to get enlightened. This is the most famous knowledge of world and most translated book in the owrld. Lord Krishna has explained everything what you may need in the life.

    Ramayan - The most famous and devoted Hindu-Treatise. All about Lord Ram and Goddess Sita. Written in aaAwadhi (a dilect of Hindi ) Language Goswami Tulsidas has explained a real picture of Lord Ram's and his teachings through his life. Tulsidas has given much practical knowledge for life and for maintaining all kinds of relationship through Ramayan.

    Mahabhrat- A real picture of Family, Society and Nation. All it's merits and demerits, characters, frictions in the relations, politics and the solutions. In Sanskrit language Maharishi Vyas has discribed the whole story of a kingdom - 'Kuru' and it's family and political frictions. Geeta is a part of Mahabharat.
