Happy Gandhi Jyanti!

  • Today is Gandhi Jayanti. Here are some inspirational quotes from Mahatma Gandhi whose very life is inspiration for all.

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light,
and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness

I have endeavored to show that there is no real service of humanity
in the profession [of medicine] and that it is injurious to mankind.

Honest disagreement is often a good sign of progress.

If you don't ask, you don't get.

Whenever you are confronted with an opponent. Conquer him with love

Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul.

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

Permanent good can never be the outcome of untruth and violence.

Unity to be real must stand the severest strain without breaking.

Let's Pray Sai to grant us such inner strength, such deep patience, Such a high life values!

A great life demonstrating to follow shardha & Saburi!

    May Sai Bless All!

  • Happy Gandhi Jyanti to All!

Gandhi Ji’s some of beautiful thoughts:

    1. Religion - a Matter of the Heart: "True religion is not a narrow dogma. It is not external observance. It is faith in God and living in the presence of God. It means faith in a future life, in truth and Ahimsa…. Religion is a matter of the heart. No physical inconvenience can warrant abandonment of one's own religion."

    2. The Teachings of the Gita: "Hinduism as I know it entirely satisfies my soul, fills my whole being … When doubts haunt me, when disappointments stare me in the face, and when I see not one ray of light on the horizon, I turn to the Bhagavad Gita, and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. My life has been full of tragedies and if they have not left any visible and indelible effect on me, I owe it to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita." (Young India: June 8, 1925)

    3. Seeking God: "I worship God as Truth only. I have not yet found Him, but I am seeking after Him. I am prepared to sacrifice the things dearest to me in pursuit of this quest. Even if the sacrifice demanded my very life, I hope I may be prepared to give it.

    4. The Future of Religions: No religion which is narrow and which cannot satisfy the test of reason, will survive the coming reconstruction of society in which the values will have changed and character, not possession of wealth, title or birth will be the test of merit.

    5. Faith in God: "Everyone has faith in God though everyone does not know it. For everyone has faith in himself and that multiplied to the nth degree is God. The sum total of all that lives is God. We may not be God, but we are of God, even as a little drop of water is of the ocean."

6.God is Strength: "Who am I? I have no strength save what God gives me. I have no authority over my countrymen save the pure moral. If He holds me to be a pure instrument for the spread of non-violence in place of the awful violence now ruling the earth, He will give me the strength and show me the way. My greatest weapon is mute prayer. The cause of peace is therefore, in God's good hands."

May Baba Bless all of us to follow Thy path with Shardha and Saburi.

To live happily in all phases of life no matter what circumstances are in life, Everlasting Joy on this most beautiful Planet! A Great Teaching of Gandhi Ji!

  • Yes, and How can we Forget our one more Great Leader on this day - Lal Bahadur Shastri. Just from his life:

    Strong and Self-respecting
Courage and self-respect were two virtues, which took deep root in him from his childhood. While in Kashi, he went with his friends to see a fair on the other bank of the Ganga. On the way back he had no money for the boat fare. His self-respect did not allow him to ask his friends for money. He slipped from their company without their knowledge. His friends forgot him in their talk and boarded the boat. When the boat had moved away, Lal Bahadur jumped into the river; as his friends watched breathlessly he swam to the other bank safely.

Though Lal Bahadur was, a man of small build, he was unusually strong. His moral strength was even greater. As in water so in life he swam quite successfully. Twice he was about to be drowned but was saved. It is said that when he was saved the second time, he had his teacher’s three-year-old baby on his shoulders.

Lal Bahadur acquired virtues likeboldness, love of adventure, patience, self-control, courtesy and selflessness in hischildhood.

Even as a boy he loved to read books. He read whatever books he came across, whether he understood them or not. He was fond of Guru Nanak's verses.

He used to repeat the following lines often:

"0 Nanak! Be tiny like grass,

For other plants will whither away, but grass will remain ever green."

  • Dear Sis,

Politically, This is about failure of Government to give protection to all citizens. Employment of Youth and inability to control evil elements from spreading messages of negativity and making citizens fight each others in the name of Religion, States, Castes, Zones … etc. People do not fight with people. These are their bodies controlled by their inner weaknesses – frustration, anger against government and system and their own evil spirit that exist in their life till the time the process of reforms gets on advance stage.

Spiritually, Who is our own and who is not. If You watch movies, You can find two actors playing roles of great friends/relatives who love each other in some movie and in other enemies after life of each other (e.g. Amitabh and Amjad Khan in many movies). Similarly Relations keep changing. (Actress Rakhee played lover of Amitabh in one movie and mother in another movie) ….. Same is Life. Nothing is constant. The Day You realize, This is all Maya. All understand this, But Maya is so Powerful, that only few blessed by Lord could accept this and free themselves from the bondage of Maya and Karmas. Everything emerge from God and at last merge into God. This is not about fighting with own people or people who are not our own. The Main battle one fights is with his own inner self. If You are strong enough spiritually, no power in the world can touch or defeat you. You will not be victim of circumstances of life and peace in life will not be conditional. You will be in state of eternal peace.

We might not know about tomorrow. But what is use. If tomorrow is to bring good time, It might make us feel good now. If it is not good, It will make us depressed and suffer now. Let future be uncertain. Live in Present, Enjoy Now. Let Baba take care of Future. What I Said, Never let your peace of mind depend on some conditions of life. What We need only full faith on Master and Patience !

May Baba Sai Bless You !

  • Happy Gandhi and Shastri Jayanti to all Sai Brothers and Sisters !

Today, when no truth is present in our political and so called spiritual leaders lives. The Mind of all is the grip of Maya. They have forgotten their duties and indulged in all unethical affairs.... But it more hurts, when people take their (Modern leaders and saints) example and try to justify their own sins or mistakes. Why they find difficult to follow leaders like Shastri Ji, Sardar Patel, Subhash Chandra Bose ... !

Gandhi, I have read lots about your character by some modern authors just to justify wrong deeds of others .... but understand only a man of pure heart and soul could practice so much that at the end of life could remember God with last breath.

For me Gandhi is just not a man of History, But a Higher Personality to Hold Truth in Life, Practice Patience and Compassion, a Fearless Spirit !

Baba Sai, May bless us a life where we could serve the ultimate purpose of our lives  by serving humanity and the world, making it more beautiful, having a heart full of love and free of hatred for anyone, raising above from all selfish wishes and desires !
