Shri Sai BABA Himself actively discouraged speculation among His devotees as to His identity and background because amity between the Hindus and Muslims was a cause dear to His heart. His Hindi was as fluent as His Urdu. Though His ears were pierced as in Hidu tradition, He was a forceful advocate of the Muslim circumcision. Though He lived in the mosque , he was always had a fire burning in it.

He knew among the people of the various races who visited Him something like hereditary antipathy existed, particularly between the Hindus and the Muslims, and this very often burst out i riots and murders, arson and loot. And it seems that if He had opted to adopt some of both their ways of life and religion, His object was to draw to Him the people of both these races, to provide for them a common background for meeting and worshipping so that all misunderstandings would vanish and their attention would be drawn to one universal feature of devotion, common to both the religions.



The annual fair of Ram Navami gave the Hindus and the Muslims an opportunity to meet and understand one another, as a result thereof each gave up the disgust and hatred he had for the other and looked up on each other's way of worship with eyes of tolerance.

The non-Muslim devotees firmly believed that if Sai BABA had adopted Hindu-Muslim mixed ways of life and prayer, it was simply for the purpose of drawing the attention of the devotees to the cardinal truth that the soul has no caste or creed.

Let us work joinetly to fulfill BABA's wish of a unified nation and spread His message to the whole world.
