Do We Reallly Need Karma (or) Points System?

Dear Ravi, Mods and other Admin Members,

what i feel, there should be no Karma system. We all here only for one purpose that is Sai.

when i joined, for months i was not aware what these numbers stand for, but thought for selected direct posts only. Some time back  someone asked in the forum, then came to know, it is reward point for a good post or negative for poor one.

But it can be a matter of jealous or affection, i just realized a few days back.

Till now i have replied to many posts, but  in most of cases hardly my advice is followed  whether it is to feed the birds, to visit Maa Kali temple, moon tratak or for directly to connect with Sai for X no. Of days due to their logic or believes of Sub Conscious Mind. Many times i asked myself when people don't take my replies seriously, they are happy with their pain, living as per their known or unknown karmas, why should i reply, then sai realize me the time when i too was struggling for some pains of life and read reply of one wise member as a guest (i was even not member of the forum and joined later only to thank that one who indirectly helped me) to one who was facing  same problem, for whom the reply was is still fighting with his life for the same issues even today and i have reached far away, so sai only knows it might be helping his other poor devotees, who are even not in position to mention their problems.

Moreover, as I have said many times, those devotees who chant only for baba are pillars of dwarka mai, they keep on praying silently for all without a wish of reorganization, and not like us who just copy paste sometimes or just share what we think about any problem.

When Baba don't discriminate between devotees why we? He treat all equally irrespective of their financial or social status on the base of shardha and saburi or love and devotion for Sai. It is only grace of Sai where very ordinary or poor people attain the state even to know the mysteries of lives, galaxies and universe where even science will take thousands of years to reach just a fraction of that level.

So, in my opinion there should not be any karma (No doubt when would had made this system, must be some base, but what is harm in reconsidering) or helper system except moderators (To observe and control members just join to create only mess or spreading spam messages in the name of Sai Devotees), since it is a system or policy matter so leaving for other mods, senior members and admin to think or act upon.

Very well said. This reminds me of a strange phenomenon that I have been witnessing on this forum for some time. For some reason, Dipika ji's karma has been decreasing by every passing day. I do not know who is doing it and why. Her posts are generally good and she has been the oldest contributor on this forum. I find it rather odd that her karma is taken off for all her good posts. Just thought to share my perplexity. I agree that we should get rid of the karma system, and contribute as an offering to Baba without any interest in rewards or penalties. Please forgive me if I made any mistake in my understanding.

OMSAIRAM!Dear Saib bhai ,Drashta &  loved brothers sisters,when i joined this online Sai Mandir in 2004 we did nt even know what column we were posting in.. we used too take print outs of this forum and leave it in all Sai temples.
this forum has grown in front of all of us...

what is important is that so many Sai devotees are benefitting from all write ups...and if we can contribute in any way in helping our Sai Brothers and Sisters then we are following the teachings of BABA.

i believe only Baba can give us karmas for our deeds...

lets thank Ravi bhai for giving us this blessed Mandir and bonding all Sai devotees together as one big Sai Family

 Dear Dipika,

It is what I feel, even in companies people who work honestly and full dedication now or later their work is identified and appreciated. For short term one can misguide his  boss or subordinates or co workers but not for long run, eventually time reveals truth.

and also It is only Grace of Sai if one contributes. Without his wish it is really impossible to serve at his temple, it is all subject matter of thy wish and acceptance.

Dear Drashta,

In Kalyuga you will find more politics and corruption at religious places compare to offices and home. Some big temples and Gurudwaras have annual budget of Crores of rupees, so many worldly people want a title as well place is trust/committee. Their intention is not serving the God but monetary benefits and fame only. But they never get eternal peace, if you visit any religious place, just see the people who serve their regularly for no wish in their heart, but just only for love of their God, you will never find any ray of depression or sadness on their face, they keep on glowing forever. that  is rare even for billaniors.

Sai alone is doer……..if it would be in our hand many people have attained peace of mind!

It is only sweet and divine name of Sai that makes us to float and swim in the dead sea of selfish world, when all leaves Sai holds the hand and life is driven with Thy wish only!

Karma feature is defiantly misleading and often confuses devotees.  As drashta ji mentioned it can be abused as well. Even I have noticed that it can be a matter of jealous or affection. We can definitely switch this feature off.

Reg question about x-Contributor, this is not about devotion, and it’s all about active contribution to Forum. I didn’t have a better name that time.

U know people sometimes send so illogical posts only to get points added to them which is really bad.
We are here only to pray and not for getting points.

I have been quiet for quite some time now.I had this sudden feeling that I was just writing and posting articles without moving an inch towards my real goal and that is to always keep Sai in my conscious being.I may not have transcended to a state where I reached constant oneness with our dear Baba.. Disregarding my absence of true spiritual knowledge, my complete ignorance of what is the meaning of spirituality, I am ardently trying to get my consciousness and even my sublime being into a persistent view of Sai.
At one point of time, I was so taken in, like a child with a new toy, that I would log on and keep my eyes riveted on this site for hours, lest I miss something which would bring me closer in my faith towards Sai.Subsequently I had started to ask myself is this really leading me somwhere.Surely Baba must have had a reason for me to enter this divine forum and read so much from such humble yet enlightened individuals.Perhaps it was another turn which Baba wanted to direct me. I can only say one thing, I have realized that Baba is my sole purpose to my existence ( as I am sure it is with all members of this forum ).Whether I log on and post articles or whether I spend time in silent contemplation is something that may require a fine balance of a immacutely tuned soul.

Dear Ravi, You are I am sure quite aware of how I was lamblasted with negative karma points, which became zero once again..I do not know but I feel u may have had something to do with wiping my negative karma points away clean


I had once begged subhasrinis sister for her humble opinion and till date have yet to see one.Please do not misconstrue this as a negative feeling or some thing I hold against her.She has so many beautiful things about her being....and that was why I had approached her.


I agree with the irrationality of the karma point system, I am no one to judge anyone's karma nor do I feel that, but for Sai no one can really attribute x number of points to my karma. It would certainly not have me jumping up and down and crying out in joy if I had the greatest total of all the positive karma points put together.It puts a touch of a video game our children play sometimes to what is meant to be a place where Sai's presence is felt and brings upon us a sense of peace.


I also do not think attributing terms like dwarkamai helper,moderator,global moderator or even universal moderator makes much sense.I do agree a vast forum like this requires a good deal and good sensible people to run the forum smoothly.So what then am I harping about ? Good question ! Did Shyama hve a moderator banner posted on him? It is perfectly ok to be a moderator or more but the manner in which it is displayed next to our usernames is more glittering than Las Vegas !! Does one have to elaborate his position in this forum with such glittering letters and pompousness ,where the supreme being himself resides. If so can I have a "beware ignorant and dangerous member" be put against my name and underscored by six stars. I may draw a lot of flak for what I have written. Please do remeber however that your consent or dissent is not meaningful to me. Our Sai is and will be the Supreme oneness that will make me realize...in his own mysterious ways...

Ravi bhai and all members i have been noticing lately that only Sai members are helping each other..Mods and Helpers are not doing much...including me


We are all Children of Deva Sai and BABA Never discriminated between Bapu Saheb butty and bhagoji Shinde,then who we are


Lets learn to become Sai devotees and folllow HIS teachings of humility

and karma only Baba will give regarding our deeds...
