Gurupurnima Celebrations

  • I think Gurupurnima is on 21st of this month and it falls on Thursday itself. How are we, sai bandhus of this forum, going to celebrate. Luckily I got personal leave that day. For long I have been thinking of 'Ekaham' (chanting 'OM SAI SRI SAI JAYA JAYA SAI') but I couldn't do it.

If you all do not have any other programs, can we chant the same on that day? Even those who attend the office can do that heart in heart. What do you say?

We will see to that all the members of this forum, from all countries do it in their local time in the hours that are feasible.

For me every day is Gurupurnima :-)

Guru Purnima is not a day set aside for the Guru. The Guru does not have any special day. It is a day for the disciple. Every disciple must inquire every day if disciplehood has awakened within. For one who has awakened this disciplehood, everyday becomes Guru Purnima. In fact, Guru Purnima is meant to be celebrated every day, not just once a year.

  • Deepikaji, that is what I too mentioned. Ekaham means 'non-stop chanting of sai naam for one full day (24 hours)'
