  • They say that the concept of time applies to those who have not witnessed timeless existence. The idea of time, the beginning and end of something are applicable only from certain point of view. Universe runs through cycles, like a circle the state of the universe changes itself, repeating itself endlessly. For those who see only a part of the circle, the path is linear, those who see some of it see it as curved, for those who see it completely know that the path is circle. Circle is symbolic of the fact that no matter where we run, one day we return to our own self. No journey is complete without returning to self.

Though it all appears logical, yet the impression of the path on our minds is so much that we believe that the path is real, we have to continue to walk on it to reach somewhere. We cannot see the circle, we only see very tiny-tiny part of it.

Let us try to understand it with an example. Assuming that we are sitting under a tree and Baba sits on the top of the tree. Sai Baba can see an approaching vehicle, which we cannot. For us the appearance of vehicle is a future event. For Baba it is present. Vehicle appears in front of us, it is present event for Baba and it is present in front of us also. The vehicle goes away and we lose sight of it, but Baba still sees it. For us the appearance of vehicle is a past event now, but for Baba it is a present event. For Baba vehicle is always present. He can always see our past, present and future.

This forum was established for the purpose of sharing, caring, guiding, helping, alleviating pain and establishing faiths in people towards good. Like an external world, the forum is also a tool, a medium. It is helpful if we know how to make use of it. Without knowing its real purpose or without having real purpose for us to join the forum, this forum is like any other website. Like social networking concepts, from instant messaging to orkutting or facebooking or letter writing to phone calls to video calls; there would always be different ways of expression, but we would only be able to express what we are really, our appearances to appear holy and saintly disappears in tough times, times when we need our knowledge we are left with no discretion; isn't this strange? The mediums may change, our appearances may change but we will always be the same unless we understand ourselves.

This forum or that forum, this organisation or that organisation, Sai Baba today and some other guru tomorrow; we can keep changing the externals, but we will always remain the same inside, unless we look inside us.

Person who started this forum and the people who have been in this forum since inception and for longer duration, have witnessed numerous events in this forum. They see little more of this forum-circle than people who stay with this forum for shorter periods. You may come and go, but forum will remain as long as it is destined to be. It will always see influx of people of all types. A forum is never good or bad, it is the people who make it good or bad.

Man by nature does not like authority. Authority is always liable to be misused. So many people have issues with running of this forum because of moderators; however, we forget that without them there would be many more issues of different kind. So, having moderated forum is a double edged sword. Moderators with powers, without powers, with lesser powers, sai sevaks or not, whatever you call it will always be hated or disliked more and appreciated less. Nobody appreciates job well done, but everyone remembers job badly done. But what does it meant to discuss this here, the only point is that internet provides such anonymity to people that a so called decent member all of a sudden posts something which is perceived offensive by others, active and faithful members of the forum turn hostile and start spreading hatred later on/ Then there are so called peacemakers who would try to indulge in restoring peace sometimes which is perceived biased and other times not. But what this forum needs is not peacemakers, it needs men of peace. It does not need knowledgeable people, it needs people who make use of their knowledge in their everyday lives. In crisis, in difficult times, the same knowledgeable people become restless, needs immediate solutions, crave for attention. Forum is not aimed at identifying those people, because these people automatically reveal themselves in time and leave forum by the burden of their own unpracticed knowledge.

Forum is more than happy if you are a peaceful, essential, contributing component of itself(forum). Restoring peace, maintaining peace should be left to admin and moderators. Being in any "sangha" or in a community requires observance of certain principles and with that the community grows and uplifts itself.

Admin is impartial, but he can also make errors of judgment while trying to be impartial. Blame it on your bad karma in that case, for that is something which you cannot change, like you cannot change the several authorities which you see in your every day life even if you do not like them. But as long as you trust that the administration is impartial, is honest in its attempts, none of you should ever have any doubt.

As the forum grows everyday, it needs moderation, it needs supervision. How is that implemented can always be improved upon. But we can never deny its importance and necessity.

By joining the forum, we make an attempt to be closer to Baba everyday. By being in the forum if it makes difference in your life spiritually, forum is for you and you are for the forum. Devotion is not like a dress to be worn and changed everyday. It should be like a bond strengthened every day. With devotion people join this forum and they leave because of personal reasons. Expectations of people are not met here and they leave. One may change forums, can change gurus, can wander here and there in search of what one is looking for, but that does not help unless one knows itself. If you do not know yourself, if you do not change for good; you will always encounter the same set of problems immaterial of which forum you go or which place you visit.

Our attitude can make immense difference, environment is very insignificant when an inborn desire to excel and know is present in an individual. A person of spiritual zeal will find this forum one of the best tool and a medium to be utilised. For those who do not, we pray to Baba to show them right way.

Thanks for being patient while reading this long post. Feel free to voice your opinion if you have any. Let us respect the forum and maintain its dignity just because it is related to the person whom we all love most - Sai Baba.

  • Thanks Ashok Ji for explaining meaning of this divine forum in such a simple and great way.

The Purpose of one should be only one here – Beloved Baba Sai and nothing else.
