SSC Chapter XVII extract
It is a well-known fact, that the Sadguru looks first to the qualifications of his disciples; and then gives them suitable instructions, without unsettling their minds in the least, and leads them on towards the goal of self-realization. In this respect, some say that what the Sadguru teaches or instructs, should not be divulged to others. They think that their instructions, become useless, if they are published. This view is not correct. The Sadguru is like a monsoon cloud. He pours down profusely, i.e., scatters widely his nectar-like teachings. These, we should enjoy and assimilate to our heart's content; and then serve others with them, without any reserve. This rule should apply, not only to what he teaches in our waking state, but to the visions he gives us in our dreams. To quote an instance: Budhakowshik Rishi composed his celebrated Ram-raksha stotra, which he had seen in his dream
Dear all, though I talk of my experiences with baba at times I feel that I am boastful. So I clam up. but again, so many people narrate their experiences. These experiences confirm the faith of the faltering.
Thats what the above extract also teaches. So in all humbleness the following is one such experience:
About 1 1/2 years back, I was feeling a bit depressed about my business. I used to visit the Lord Venkateshwara temple in T Nagar every wednesday morning. One wednesday I prayed to Lord Sai, to give me darshan at the Temple. Now generally it is a bit tall order. But a downright doubting tom that I am, I put baba to test.
I went inside the temple, finished my offerings and darshan and came out. All the time I was chiding baba for failing me. (One thing about my peculiar wish : I love to see my baba in the white dress. I dont know why. ) As I came to the get a vendor who sells photos of all gods was selling and he came to me to take a picture. Dear friends, the first photo he had in the stack was of Lord Sai. And it was a white dressed one with Brahma Vishnu and Shiva on the top. Imagine my surprise. I was speechless. I immediately bought the picture. Framed it and have it in my office.
Another extract of SSC:
One day, while Kakasaheb Dixit was in mediation after his morning bath in his Wada at Shirdi he saw a vision of Vitthal. When he went to see Baba afterwards, Baba asked him - "Did vitthal Patil come? did you not see Him? He is very elusive, hold Him fast, otherwise He will give you the slip and run away". Then at noon a certain hawker came there, with 20 or 25 pictures of Vitthal of Pandharpur for sale. Mr. Dixit was surprised to see that the form of Vithal he saw in his mediation exactly tallied with that in the picture and he was also reminded of Baba's words. He therefore, bought one picture most willingly and kept it in his shrine for worship.
Another time, on 1st of Jan I was at tirumala. I finished the darshan and we were planning to return to chennai. Again I made this wish: I should see baba at tirumala. Then we all went to a hotel for breakfast. My back was to the entrance. All of a sudden, somebody closed my eyes from behind. I was surprised to see that it was cousin of mine. This guy is a big devotee of Sai. He sits in front of me and hands me a picture of lord Sai. I was most happy.
Dear all, Sai is ever with us.
