OMSAIRAM!Dattatreya Rasane was born to Damodar Rasane from BABA's wonderful blessings.

Before Dattatreya's married,his father went to BABA and placed 4 horoscopes of 4 different girls before BABA.

Baba approved of a poor girl though others would had got handsome dowry with them.

AND BABA 's choice was final,later he invited BABA for the wedding to Pandharpur as marriage was fixed.

But BABA told him"Do not fear I am with you"I cant do anything without Allah's will.

I "ll send Shyama on my behalf to attend the marriage and Shyama accordingly attended the wedding

Silent Communication

Baba's typical ways of expressing his upadesa form an important theme, the modes of communication between master and disciple bearing upon the nature and substance of the teaching else.

In the first place, one must distinguish between nonverbal and verbal communication. Silent Upadesa was of utmost importance. It is known that Baba would often remain mute for long periods. Sometimes he passed days in silence or would simply mumble a few words: as always there was no predetermined rule. It is not an overstatement to say that the silent darsan of Sai represented in and of itself the highest form of teaching: an intense communion based on love, devotion, and surrender to God.

On February 20, 1912, GS Khaparde wrote in his diary: "We attended Kakad arti and the remarkable part of it was that Sayin Saheb left the Chavadi and entered the Masjid without saying a single word except: "God is the greatest of all!"

Saibaba's enigmatic and bizarre personality profoundly affected his devotees, who at the same time loved and feared him. In nonverbal interaction the teacher's glances and smiles are what is most values. Devotees prayed that Baba might just throw a look at them, so as to be purified and blessed by his sight. Saibaba's "yogic" glances were apparently powerful. GS Khaparde wrote: "He looked exceedingly pleased and cast yogic glances at me. I passed the whole day in a sort of ecstasy".

This silent communication between Baba and his devotees operated not only during darsan hours but also while a bhakta would be engaged in padasevana (massaging Baba's legs and feet) or when Baba would invite people to partake of a smoke from his earthen pipe (chillum)

Today i went to Lodhi Sai Mandir with my friend and her bua.

We both were reading SSC,later i opened Guru Charitra and was seriously reading it.

There was a couple who was sitting with their 5 year old son.

The father bowed down to BABA,the son quickly climbed on his back,seeing this my friend starting laughing,i also looked and started laughing.

we had a gud hearty laugh

...and lo..BABA surely give answers

The love that a chaste woman bears to her husband is sometimes compared to that which a disciple bears to his master (Guru). Yet the former falls far short of the latter, which is incomparable. No one, whether he be father, mother, brother or any other relation, comes to our aid in attaining the goal of life (self-realization). We have to chalk out and traverse the path of self-realization ourselves. We have to discriminate between the Unreal and the Real, renounce the things and enjoyments of this world and the next, control our senses and mind, and aspire for liberation only. Instead of depending upon others, we should have full faith in ourselves. When we begin to practice discrimination, we come to know, that the world is transient and unreal and our passion for worldly things becomes less and less, and ultimately we get dispassion or non-attachment for them. Then we know that the Brahma which is no other than our Guru is the sole reality and as It transcends and besets the seeming universe.

In short, always chanting the name of the Guru, and meditating on Him enables us to see Him in all beings, and confers eternal bliss on us

OMSAIRAM!Those who went to Shirdi and stepped inside His Masjid were and are really the honoured guests of BABA.


Upasani after having darshan of BABA in the Masjid,requested for leave to go from Shirdi.

Baba told Upasani and Jog "But go,if you must go but return here within eight days.

Taking these words as Permission,Upasani left Shirdi ,but came back exactly on the 8th day,as BABA wished.

He lived in Shirdi for 4 years.
