We do not know the various kinds of Saints, how they behave, what they do and eat etc. We only know, that by God's grace they manifest themselves in this world to liberate the ignorant and bound souls. If there be any store of merits on our account, we get a desire in listening to the stories and Leelas of the Saints, otherwise not.

Sad-gurus like Sai Baba open our (eyes of the) intellect and show us the divine beauties of the Self, and fulfill our tender longings of devotion. When this is done, our desire for sense-objects vanishes, twin fruits of Viveka (discrimination) and Vairagya (dispassion or non-attachment) come to our hands; and knowledge sprouts up even in the sleep. All this we get, when we come in contact with Saints (Sad-guru), serve them and secure their love. The Lord, who fulfills the desires of His devotees, comes to our aid, removes our troubles and sufferings, and makes us happy. This progress or development is entirely due to the help of the Sadguru, who is regarded as the Lord Himself. Therefore, we should always be after the Sad-guru, hear His stories, fall at His Feet and serve Him.

when Vatsali died as predicted by BABA and all were shocked at her untimely death.She was only 7 yrs old.
Dadasaheb Khaparde who was then in Shirdi  went and saw mortal remains of that girl,which he has noted very charming and the expression on her face charming.
Though Anna Dabholkar had later wondered 'If Baba couldnt save Dixit's girl at Shirdi ,what 's the good of a Guru'?

Kaka himself bore the blow and the grief wonderfully well and was happy his daughter's kept by Baba under the sacred tree.

On the day of his daughter's death in Shirdi ,Kaka received a copy of Bhavartha Ramayana  which he took and gave it to Baba,who then dipped his hands into its pages and casually opened a page which began with......................Kishindakanda-wherein Rama consoles the widow of Wali,whom he had slain,Baba handed the book to Kaka asking him to read and digest the book,to lessen his grief,Baba also gave a present of HIS photo to Kaka and thus impressed him to put up bravely with his loss...................

Kaka was in Shirdi when Baba died in 1918 and the credit for doing HIS Samadhi in the Wada of Buti and also of preparing a scheme or trust called Sai baba Sansthan of Shirdi must go to Kaka.One must bow to him in respect.He worked as honorary Secretary of the Sai baba Sansthan till his death in July 1926 and also started the Saileela Magazine in Marathi edited by Kaka Mahajani.

HE knew the history of every soul ,whether of man or bird and the stages it passed through.

Baba Himself actively interfered and  protected His devotees from the jaws of death.

But when He knew that His death would lead to Salvation or at least towards Salvation,HE actually allowed him to meet his death,He let it be born again in another form in another life or in the same form in another life and then he had draw the soul on to Himself and release and relieve the soul from misery of birth and death leading it on the eternal bliss-merging itself in the divine.

OMSAIRAM!For nearly a month Tarabhai Tarkhad ,suffered from headache A neurologic headache ,during a summer though She tried many medicines and remedies by staying in Panchagani hills.None could give her any relief and She felt She must die.With that feeling She left for Shirdi,so that She may have previlige of dying at the feet of BABA her Master and inspite of the objections by her husband and others .
They got down at Kopargaon,then came to the Goda,which they had to cross and there it suddenly struck that lady that She should have a dip in the holy waters as any how She thought She is going to die very soon and the cold bath might increase the ache and pain and accelerate her death.
She feared no death and knowing She had die ,She took her bath and to their wonder ,when She came out of the cold waters of Goda,her headache was all gone and She was reborn.

OMSAIRAM!Repirs to the Masjid was were done in the face of opposition -violent opposition by BABA.
For Sai baba it was'nt a simple Mosque or Masjid but DWARKAMAI or the the kind MOTHER DWARAKA,whose doors were free for entry and exit for all.a sacred and hallowed place which if her Shelter was sought or surrender made to her ran to the help and succour of her beloved children and saved them from cares and worries and dangers and perils and in the end blessed them all with Divine Bliss.
It was as BABA said a sacred place which saved and not killed the people who sought her refuge and slept in her lap and washed off all their sins in bygone lives.

Once the notion of ‘‘Sarvanbhuti Parmeshwar’’ (God is in all beings) is accepted by the devotee’s mind, then the door to Bhakti Marg opens easily.

  Shri Sai Baba accepted these same principles and spread His teachings amongst the living. The notion of “Sarvanbhooti Parmeshwar” was preached by Baba. This will be evident from the following incident.

  Once Mrs. Tarkhad was in Shirdi and a dog came and stood in front of her, when it was time for meals. She threw a piece of Bhakari (bread) to him. After the dog went away, a mud covered pig arrived. To him also, she gave a piece of Bhakari.

  Thereafter, in the Masjid, Baba said to her, ‘‘Aaye (Mother), in the afternoon, I was restless with hunger and you gave Me a full meal. Let it be a dog or a pig, always follow this as a regular practice.’’    People from all castes, creeds and religions used to come to Dwarkamai. His places were the abode of all types of animals. Such deeds of Baba teach us that the God is in every living being - may it be a human or an animal. When a person intentionally hurts another, he is hurting the God, contained in that person.

  Baba collected food as alms and kept in the Dwarkamai in a Kolamba (a kind of vessel). The animals used to put their mouths in the Kolamba and ate whatever they wanted. Sometimes Baba mixed the same food and shared it with His devotees - who were from all walks of life. Even though the food was already touched by animals, for Baba it was good enough. The lady, who swept the Masjid, also took Bhakaris from the same Kolamba. In the eyes of Baba, this was a way of seeing God in every animate and inanimate thing of the world.

On several occasions, Baba said out of love for His devotees - "What (whether good or bad) is ours, is with us, and what is another’s is with him." - Ch. XLV, Shri Sai Satcharitra. Some of the simplest expressions of Baba seem to have the message of greatest importance. A moment of contemplation on such comments might have the most profound effects on what we perceive as pain or pleasure. By the above statement, Sadguru Sainath has endorsed the thought that our actions precede our fruits, the consequences. He also several times advised that one have to endure the consequences of his past Karma. Devotees also have seen how Sainath comes to their rescue if the faith is earnest and the patience is complete. The patience is complete if the faith is earnest. He is the helmsman and His boundless coffers are open.

I would like of offer my opinion in response to a devotee's request in Sai Vichaar (28-1-'99) for advice regarding the astrologer's prediction about her friend conceiving.

To have Faith in Baba does not mean that we necessarily disregard others' advice at all times and rush into things. One could even think that Baba has come in that guise to warn you in advance. If someone gives an advice to proceed with wrong things, which are not worthy of offering to Baba, that advice should definitely not be taken. This also applies if we have the faintest hint that the advisor's character is not good or he/she has bad motives. Baba always said, stick to your Guru, irrespective of His abilities, as long as the Guru has good character and good motives. So if you think an adviser has the latter qualities, one can take the advice in good Faith and depend on Baba. Most important in this regard is to wait patiently, and He is sure to help. Because, as Baba said, Saburi or patience is the twin sister of Faith. Whatever you do in good Faith, will certainly be appreciated by Baba and He will respond. In regard to the story you gave about Master Tendulkar as an example, Baba directly told them to disregard the astrologer's advice so they acted accordingly. Remember a story in Satcharita about Mr. Ambedkar - with Baba's blessings, he was saved from suicide and that he later became proficient in astrology and led a comfortable life. Astrology in itself is not wrong nor is all astrologers are to be doubted. Three years after marriage is not a long wait. My sister did not conceive until 7 years after marriage! By Baba's Grace she has a wonderful boy who is nearly 3 years old now and she regards him as a gift from Baba. "Do your duty, do not be afraid in the least, steady your mind and Have Faith in my words" said Baba to Hemadpant. Seek medical advice too. Do whatever you can with the knowledge and resources you have. As with the rest, leave it to Baba and wait patiently.
