It is said that Bhagvad Geeta is that great poem which has the universal capacity to provide solution lo any sort of problem may it be physical, psychological, political, economical etc. It is upto the reader and his approach to search and find the solution.

For Sai Bhaktas "SHRI SAI SATCHARITA" written by Shri. Hemadpant is an identical treatise. There are many bhaktas who reach out to this book with "Shraddha" (faith) and "Saburi" (patience) to get the guidance from Shri Sai Baba. I for one is never ever disappointed in my pursuit. Baba has guided me on many occasions through this great book. I would like to quote one such incident here.

Recently, my wife was taken very ill and had lo be put in a hospital in a very serious condition. She was suffering of acute Gastro­enteritis and some other complications. Doctors were trying out various medicines but the improvement was not at all satisfactory. It was a Sunday when she was admitted in the hospital and the loose motions and vomiting were not getting controlled till Wednesday evening. She had gone very weak and restless. Me and our children were very much worried and anxious.

Thursday morning as I woke up I was feeling gloomy and sad. Somewhere wilhin myself I was in anguish and in a disappointed mood with Baba. It has been observed that out Baba tests us on the dimensions of Shraddha and Saburi before showering his grace and blessings on us. I felt that this was that particular moment and I was no more able to stand to this test.

In this dejected slate of mind I picked up the Hindi version of "Shri Sai Satcharitra" and immediately prayed to Baba for His help and guidance. I opened the book at random and lo! I found page no. 82 open before me and staried reading, as follows:-


There was no limit to my joy as soon as I read this paragraph. I knew Baba has heard my prayers. It appeared as if Baba was sitting before my wife and ordering her to get well. A cool cloud of peace enveloped me and I felt assured that she is going to get well soon.

Subsequently, Shri Sai helped me in many ways through unseen and unexpected help and everything becoming well. Needless to say my wife is back home from hospital and recovering fast from her illness.

There is no doubt lhat each one of us has to live our own life through all the ordeals and sufferings but firm faith and patience are the two strong shields that protect us always.

These  two qualities are me Maha Prasad that Baba has given to us.

OMSAIRAM!Dwarkamai here baba lit HIS dhuni...Udi which we get from the sacred ashes teaches us that all the visible phenomena in the universe are as transient as the ash.

 Our bodies composed of matter of the five elements will fall down, become inanimate after all their enjoyments are over, and will be reduced to ashes. In order to remind the devotees of the fact that their bodies will be reduced to ashes, Baba distributed Udi to them. Baba also taught by the Udi that the Brahman is the only Reality and the universe is ephemeral and that no one in this world, be he a son, father or wife, is really ours. We come here (in this world) alone and we have to go out alone

Jai Sai Shri Ashokji and Veena maa,

By reading your message re. missing Ring, my eyes was full of tears. I can't express my views, but I want to share my experience which occurred with me also. How I am writing this I can't know. All Baba's grace.
   
Last year in Sept. we went to Shilong for vacation for 3-4 days in a package tour.  On the last day we have to go for site seeing early morning at 7.00 am.  We took breakfast in the dinning hall and I went to my room with my son to take the bag. When returning the key to the manager in the counter he told if I was to clean the room on our absence. I told him to do so.

We were three families in the hotel to go for site seeing. When I entered the car and was ready to go for site seeing,I was very surprised to see that one gold ring (which was given by my mother-in-law) was not their in my finger. I was searching the ring in the car for my satisfaction but it was not there. Suddenly my son asked me  what I was searching? I just said nothing. When I was taking the breakfast it was there.  If I go upstairs and search, the whole program will upset and I just prayed Baba that it might be in the dinning hall or in my room only. I had not told this to my husband and son because I don’t want to spoil the trip.  I was just praying Baba that when I return from the site seeing I should get the ring from the Manager. (I don’t know why I specially prayed that I should get ring from manager ). 

When we returned from site seeing at 8.00 pm in the hotel, I was taking the bags and told my son to collect the key from the Manager.  I have totally forgotten that I lost the ring in the morning and I enjoyed the site seeing whole day.  Because I have full faith on Baba. When my son went to the reception to collect the key from the Manager, he shown one ring and asked whether this is ours?  My son was very much surprised that this is my mother’s ring and mother has not told that she lost her ring.  Immediately my husband and I enter the reception and my son straight away told me mammy have you lost your ring? I was very much surprised and the whole incident one again came to my mind and without answering my son I started thanking Baba (and Baba’s vachan came to my mind : I shall be active and vigorous even from the tomb..) after that only I told everything to my husband and son.  I asked the Manager from were he got the ring. He told that it was in our room, when girl was cleaning the room she got this ring.  Next day early morning we have go back I was unable to meet the house keeping girl. I told the Manager to thank her on my behalf and gave her a little amount as a gift. (If I will not do this Baba will not forgive me.)

             Although there are continued leelas of Baba in our house for the last so many years and we are so used to it that they have become part and parcel of our life. We feel Baba in our house.

All the time Mrs Gupta can be seen talking about Baba with other Sai Devotees either on phones or directly. Some time even I don’t get the time to tell something and forget to tell her afterwards. Baba has given us all, what we want. Every Thursday we have Sai Satsang, Recitation of Sri Sai Amrit Vani, Prayan of one Chapter from Sai Satcharitra and two Bhajans by Mrs Jyoti Behl. In this, every Sai devotee is welcome. On every important days of our Family, Baba blesses us with Udi. Every week generally Udi starts oozing from different photos of Baba from Monday onwards. On Thusdays water is oozing from the Charans of Baba. In other words

Baba is really with us and we feel it.

   

               This Ram Naumi day, early morning I found that my ring is missing. We asked the maid to be careful while sweeping the floor and cleaning the house. While discussing about it some one told that they saw the ring in my hand in the evening,  day before. After that I went to the nearby market 2-3 times for purchasing the items of daily needs. During the Day we also searched in the house. We were participating in the Langer (Bhandara) at our local Colony  Mandir as the Ram Naumi celebrations. During the day  several  people came to the house and things went on smoothly.  At about 8 PM I went to the front portion of the house to put some cleaning cloth there. To my surprise I find the ring lying about 12 inches inside , in the middle of the front main door. It was next to impossible that the ring was there. The outer door was closed. Inner door was open and the ring was in between the two doors. We have 2 doors of the main gate. The inner door is of steel and opaque glass and can’t see outside if closed. So we generally keep it open during the day time. Several people several times had crossed this space,  for coming in and out of the house, and we find the ring there? There is difference of floor level at the outer door, so nothing can be slipped inside the house. I could not believe it so I called Mrs Gupta to come outside and see.  She was also surprised at the place from where it has been found. The surprise was not for getting the ring back, but the place from where it was found. We both went to Baba for thanks and there we find another surprise. Water started oozing from the Charans of Baba. This is for the first time water started oozing from Wednesday night itself. I can’t express our feelings at that time. Devotees can feel it by putting  themselves in such position.

after reading all of urs experience i hv no words...and all i cn say is i am overwhelmd wth babas miracles..i always usd to read sai charita n wonder kya jo miracles usme likhe hain woh aaj bhi hote honge...n snc morning today i am fln rly low n prayn to baba to fulfil my wish...n wd babas grace i evn made khichdi today 4 d 1st tym..n my mom liked it soo mch dt she hugd me n blessd me...bt stl i cudnt stop fln low n cudnt stp cryn...n dn i sudnly opnd ds site n saw ol ur experiencs...n nw m fln soo mch betta...jus waitin 4 baba 2 fulfil my wish asap..n m waitn wd a lot f love,shraddha n sabhuri..thnxx baba 4 evrythn...u mean d world to ol f us....LOVE U OLWYZ....OM SAI RAM..

Then Baba's heart melted an He said, "Stay, cast off your anxiety, your sufferings have come to an end. However, oppressed and troubled one may be as soon as he steps into the Masjid, he is on the pathway to happiness. The Fakir here is very kind and He will cure the disease, and protect all with love and kindness."

Balasaheb Mirikar, son of Sirdar Kakasaheb Mirikar was Mamlatdar of Kopergaon. He was going on tour to Chitali. On the way he came to Shirdi to see Sai Baba. When he went to the Masjid and prostrated himself before Baba, usual conversation regarding health and other matters commenced, when Baba sounded a note of warning as follows:-"Do you know our Dwarakamayi?" As Balasaheb did not understand he kept quiet, Baba continued - "This is our Dwarakamayi, where you are sitting. She wards off all dangers and anxieties of the children, who sit on her lap. This Masjidmayi (its presiding Deity) is very merciful, she is the mother of the simple devotees, whom she will save in calamities. Once a person sits on her lap, all his troubles are over. He, who rests in her shade, gets Bliss". Then Baba gave him Udi, and placed His protecting hand on his head. When Balasaheb was about to depart, He again said- "Do you know the "Lamba Bava" (long gentleman), Viz. serpent?" And then closing the left arm like fist He brought it near the right elbow, and moving His left arm like the hood of a serpent, He said- "He is so terrible, but what can he do to the children of Dwarakamayi: When the Dwarakamayi (its presiding deity) protects, what can the serpent do?"

All who were present there, were curious to know the meaning of all this and its reference to Mirikar, but none had the courage to ask Baba about this. Then Balasaheb saluted Baba and left the Masjid with Shama. Baba called Shama back and asked him to accompany Balasaheb, and enjoy the Chitali trip. Shama came to Balasaheb, and told him that he would go with him according to Baba's wish. Balasaheb replied that he need not come as it would be inconvenient. Sharma returned to Baba and told Him what Balasaheb said to him. Baba said, "Alright, do not go. We should mean well and do well. Whatever is destined to happen, will happen".

In the meanwhile Balasaheb thought over again, and calling Shama asked him to accompany him. Then Shama going again to Baba and taking His leave started with Balasaheb in the tanga. They reached Chitali at 9 P.M. and encamped in the Maruti temple. The office-people had not come; so they sat quiet in the temple, talking and chitchating. Balasaheb was sitting on a mat reading a newspaper. His Uparani (upper dhotar) was spread across his waist and on a part of it a snake was sitting unobserved. It began to move with a rustling sound which was heard by the peon. He brought a lantern, saw the snake and raised an alarm- 'serpent, serpent'. Balasaheb was frightened and began to quiver. Shama was also amazed. Then he and others moved noiselessly and took sticks and clubs in their hands. The snake got down slowly from the waist and it moved away from Balasaheb; it was immediately done to death. Thus this calamity, which was prophesied by Baba, was averted and Balasaheb's love for Baba was deeply confirmed.

When my sister died, my mind was much upset. I did not care for life and enjoyments. When I went to Baba, He pacified me with His Upadesh and made me eat a feast of Pooran Poli at Appa Kulkarni's house and get pasted with sandal.
