  • DEVOTEE'S EXPERIENCE

April to mid-August, 2001, was a jinxed period for Sangeeta, as there were many hurdles but at last she could make it to Shirdi. Here is a first person account. On Thursday the 16th August where Baba gave her some extraordinary experiences:
? “As we went to the Samadhi, my daughter was carrying some sweets on behalf of my two nieces, one aged three and the other one-and-a-half years old. As she handed them over to the priest, he at once ripped open the packet, put some in the prasad container, distributed some to the other three priests sitting at the Samadhi and rolled up his own share in a polythene bag and hid it under the cloth which was covering the Samadhi which is not the usual practice. As he did this, I got a feeling as if Baba had shown extreme love and told us how much these sweets meant to Him”.

? "Then that night while doing Parikrama at Nandadeep, I saw two or three people coming with hands folded in Pranam and heard some one saying “Baba Aaa Gaye”. I saw that there were two security guards looking closely at the ground. I halted for a moment and saw a small snake wriggling at the sides of Nandadeep. I also folded my hands in pranam and continued my parikrama. Later, when I wanted to find out about it, I was told that the snake was escorted out of the gate of the Sansthan Complex and we returned safely to Delhi. It is as if Baba had arranged to take care of us from the snake through the guards. Had we come little earlier it could have been dangerous. We came back to Delhi on Saturday the 18th of August very fulfilled and satisfied by our Shirdi visit mentally thanking Baba for the time we got with Him.

? "On the following Monday, the 20th August, some time past noon, an incident took place which made us realise that Shri Sai had protected us from a calamity which was to befall us. On Monday, at my parent's house, two men rang the doorbell. They had a slip of paper, which had my father's name and home address on it. On the reverse were listed some items which they said were sold at their shop. They asked my mother “Bauji hain kya”? She answered "Abhi nahin aye". The next question was "Mataji?" She did not know what overcame her but for some reason she did not answer that question.. They handed over the slip to her. She put it under the idol of Ganeshjee, which is placed on a shelf at the entrance of the house, below a life size portrait of Baba in the Dwarkamai pose and was about to close door when they asked her for some water. She closed the door, went inside and got water for¬ them. As she was handing over the glasses of water, she saw another man standing at the foot of the staircase.

Just as she turned to close the door, they pushed her into the house. At this she shouted and cried for help but no one came. They pushed her into the kitchen and beat her up. They switched on the gas without igniting the burners and wanted to suffocate her by closing the kitchen door, but the door had been removed a few days ago to facilitate easy movement. Being frustrated, they pulled her hair, used abusive language and beat her up. During this period of nearly 15 to 20 minutes, she continued to scream 'Bachao Bachao' but no one came to her rescue. Baba had known of this all along, as how else would she have even have dreamt of getting the kitchen door removed about twenty days before the incident! This was the great Kripa of Shri Sai Nath who gave her the thought that there is no need of the kitchen door. The maid got so scared on seeing the scene that she hid in one corner instead of trying to raise an alarm to alert the neighbours. The intruders kept asking for the keys. My mother's gums were bleeding, there was a gash under her lips and though for a minute she felt that she would die, some great 'Shakti' overcame her and she kept fighting with them.

In the meantime the third person had entered the house and was rummaging through the two wooden almirahs in the bedroom, while these two men kept torturing and beating my mother. Then the most unexpected thing happened. Gauri (my three year old niece) came from her pre-nursery school. She normally comes by taxi and usually my sister-in-law picks her up but that day she was not at home and the maid who worked for my mother was supposed to go down to pick her. But since no one went, her taxi driver kept honking at the gate while she climbed the stairs. The door, which had been closed by these intruders just opened as Gauri pushed it and she came in when she suddenly saw these people beating up her grandmother (Dadi Maa). She started to cry loudly. The intruders by then had got a towel to tie up my mother's mouth and put their hand on Gauri's mouth to muffle her cries.

By now my mother was not only exhausted but also overcome with fear for Gauri's safety. She stopped shouting and became semi-conscious. Now see the grace of my Baba. The third man came running to his accomplices suddenly and said ‘Chalo' and in an instant all three men ran out of the house. The maid saw one of them mounting a bicycle and riding away. And in an instant they disappeared.

Later when things were checked to see what was missing from the almirahs, it was found that not a penny had been taken. Every thing was intact. The grace of my Lord had made the men blind or how else would they miss the cash and jewellery in the almirahs. Not only that, they also did not notice my mother wearing jewellery on her person. The most surprising thing ¬that they had left behind the crow bar; which they brought for opening the almirahs or safe at the feet a Sai. They just forgot to carry it back - it remained on the shelf right under the portrait of Shri Sai. Who else can take care of his children in the most miraculous way?

OMSAIRAM!Few weeks back I attended Sai Amrit Vaani at Veena Maa's place.I met a lady who was a dentist.I started to chat with herand asked her why she was there? She told me she was married for last 12 years and had no kids. She was almost in tears.
I told her BABA will surely bless her. Then we came in the same auto.
We had a chat and i told her to read Shri Sai Satcharitra.

  • Jai Sai Raam,

Sometimes I feel that in our daily life we ask so much Help from Baba ji. Whether it is small or big they always listen to all of us only matter is have faith and wait for your turn. I asked one of our Didi here who can talk to Baba ji, that we ask so much help from Baba ji for so many small small things is that good? She replied Sai is our Mom and the kid will always ask his/her mom whether its small or big and its very important to ask it from Sai Ji rather then asking help from someone else in this world. She also said that when we ask for help we say that Sai has Million of hands to give and at the same time we forget that Sai ji having Million of eyes as well to keep any eye on all of us. Means when we do things in life which we shall not still we shall know that Sai is still watching us at each and every moment with his Million of eyes. So do not do anything that may harm someone live happily and let others live happily too.

    Thanks
    Rakesh

  • Sai Baba, U know my concern very well. Some years back, I was supposed to get married to Sai Charan, whom I know U only sent to me... Unfortunately, I did not realise that, at that point of time. I have been so ignorant. And I did not reciprocate his love and affection. Now I realise my mistake and yearning to correct it. But I have lost his contact. Please Baba give me chance to set right all the mistakes I made. Now I just cant think of anybody else in my life. Baba I beg your blessing for the reunion and happy life.

    Bless me Baba

  • DEVOTEE'S EXPERIENCE

    Baba's Miracles in my Life

    How we entered Baba’s kingdom
Baba had entered our household in the year 1982 when I was a child. My brother was around 8 months old and had diarrhea, which was not getting cured despite medication. On the advice of a neighbour, my parents took my brother to Shirdi. And immediately my brother's diarrhea was cured. Thus we were included in Baba's durbar for life.

Nothing much had happened in my life till the year 2000 when I suddenly and occasionally witnessed Baba’s miracles. I started doing Baba’s Parayan and used to chant Vishnu Sahasra Namam daily.

I was having tooth ache, I could see a black decay in my tooth. I wanted to go to a dentist but somehow my visit would get postponed. One night I had a dream that there was a doctor and he was drilling my tooth and giving me treatment. The next morning I woke up and checked my tooth and to my delight my tooth decay had gone. This was a miracle, which I had not asked for but I am sure it is Baba’s miracle to show me I am under his patronage.

In the year 2001, I was working in Mumbai and my fiancé was in Hyderabad. We used to fight frequently even thought we loved each other very much, as there were serious problems between us. One day I broke my engagement with him. This was a very difficult period in my life and I suffered a lot mentally. My fiancé then came to Mumbai to make up with me. But I was unsure and so decided to leave everything to Baba and started parayanam. On the last day of parayanam I suddenly felt that I should marry him. I attribute this decision to BABA.

After my marriage, I came back to Mumbai. My mind was very disturbed as my mother in law was a Christian convert and that had an effect on my husband. That night in the train I saw Baba in my dream, and then I saw Christ, then again Baba and then again Christ. I felt that through this Baba had given me the message that Christ and Baba are not different.

In the year 2002 another miracle happened in the context of my Visa. My application for a study visa had been rejected on two earlier occasions. So when my company applied for a visa on my behalf the consulate did not give it but put it on observation. I thought my visa had been rejected this time also. I kept praying to Baba. One night I dreamt that some sadhu had come to my house and told me “Do not worry , you will get a visa” and disappeared. Then 2-3 days after which I got a call from consulate that I could go and collect my visa.

I was very happy and thankful to Baba. However, while I went to the US, I returned prematurely within 2 months. This left me very disappointed and depressed as I do not understand why Baba did not make me settle there. Now I have so many responsibilities that I cannot go there though I still aspire to go.

I was married in May 2002 but stayed in Mumbai. I could not get a transfer to Hyderabad. In November 2002 I went to Shirdi and prayed for my transfer. I became pregnant in December 2002 and had to take continuous bed rest. Citing this as a strong reason I again applied for a transfer. I was facing difficulties in the process. Then on 7th February 2003 night I had a dream in which I saw a fakir and I felt he was Baba. He asked me for Dakshina, I gave some amount, he asked me for more, which I gave. I felt he was testing me to see if I would give him everything I had. He again asked me for dakshina, and I said I don’t have anything left. He then said: “Do not worry, your transfer will be done”.
On Monday when I contacted my manager, he asked me to leave for Hyderabad. Now this was a miracle because none of my papers had been approved and signed, and were still pending but I was asked to leave. What is a greater miracle then this leela of Sai.

In April 2003 I was in my 5th month of pregnancy. I was working in an office 5 km from my house. I received a relocation letter to another office which was quite far away. I was very tense as I was not keeping good health and the doctor had advised me rest. I was praying to Baba and was sure He would take care of me. I called one of my colleagues who worked in that office earlier. To my surprise and utter cheer she told me that the office just shifted on the previous day to some other place, which was 7 km from my house. I really thanked Baba for caring for me.

My mother in law had converted to Christianity and before I came to her house in Hyderabad she told me that I should not put any photos and I should not light Diya. But does Baba leave his kids? To my utter surprise when I came to Hyderabad my Father in law gave me a calendar with Baba’s photo. I had stuck that calendar on the wall with a gum. One day the calendar fell down, and I did not put it back on the wall. After few days I wanted to do parayanam of Baba. And I could not find the calendar photo. I searched frantically for it and thought that my Mother in law had thrown it away. It was Wednesday and I was wondering whether to buy a new photo of Baba since I wanted to start parayanam the next day.

But can you imagine what had happened? While rearranging the clothes on the shelves my mother in law found that calendar and gave it to me. What a great miracle. Baba had not only come to me in time but also proved that my Mother in law was innocent by giving me calendar through her.

  • MY EXPERIENCE

After returning from Chatterpur temple on Thursday 1st December 2005 when I went to my pooja room I just felt that Baba was feeling cold. I took out a new shawl from my cupboard and wrapped it around the marble murti in my house. I promised myself that I would go and buy some yarn the next day and make a shawl for Baba.

The next day, my daughter and I went to Lajpat Nagar to buy some yarn. I really liked one pink and silver yarn and thought a shawl in that would look amazing on Him. My daughter kept saying it was too flashy and did not let me buy it. I gave in and bought beautiful baby wool and came back.

On reaching home I went to my mother-in-law thinking she would knit it faster than me. Before I could say anything to her, she started to say: " I had gone to Lajpat Nagar yesterday and thought I would pick up some yarn for your Babaji." She was holding the same pink and silver yarn in her hand that my daughter had not let me buy.

I was speechless and tears rolled down my eyes. Its amazing how he fulfills each and every thought and wish we have.

    May we always serve him.

    Thanks Baba …

Dear Sai devotees, first I want to express my humble thanks to Baba, there are no words to express my gratitude to Him. So far He has been taking care of my family, as His own children, the miracles He has shown to us cannot be believed unless you experience yourself. When my in-laws where visiting us in US, my father-in-law had a stroke in the airport itself, he was saved by one of the fellow passengers who did CPR and was rushed to the nearby hospital. During a critical one-month stay in the hospital, doctors were not hopeful of his survival or a recovery, but due to the grace of Baba, he not only recovered but also survived for five years after that. Recently last year my mother-in-law visited us, but a month later, she had cardiac arrest out of blue and was rushed to emergency. Doctors said she is going survive only 30 minutes, my husband and myself were shocked, but we were confident that whatever happening is going to end because Baba is going to take care of her. She stayed at the hospital for over a month and after few weeks of recovery went back to India and visited Shirdi and is doing well. Not only these two incidents there are plenty of others where we are blessed by Baba' grace. Baba is there for everyone; if you totally submit yourself and have Shradha and Saburi you are going to reap great fruits of joy. Thank you Baba for giving me this chance to share my experience with others.

    Mudit
This is a magic done by Sai Baba. I was going for an interview on my motorcycle with my wife sitting behind me, suddenly a scooter (two wheeler) coming from the opposite direction lost his control and hit the front wheel of my bike. (There was no divider on road). I lost control and was about to crash on left side of road and I don't know what happened some power a kind of bubble came under my bike and pulled me up from the road and then my bike went a bit straight and then down on right side. Same thing happened again this power (definitely Sai Baba) pulled me again from crashing and we went straight on to the heap of mud. Not even a scratch on our bodies. Definitely Sai Baba came to our rescue and you'll be happy to know that the very next day we were to leave for Shirdi and everything went so well. Sai Baba always comes to the rescue whenever we are in trouble. Jai Sai Ram.

Sai baba has really blessed my life! My wife and I were trying for a child for a long time. Two years ago, I went to Shirdi with my brother and this year, we have a perfect little boy. Baba, we are so grateful to you! On another note, my work has been very stressful this year. The other day, there was a big problem at work, which I did not know how to resolve. I prayed hard to Baba and by the time I got to work, the whole problem had been solved! Baba, thank you so much for all the blessings you have given me.

    Ramkumar
I had prayed for the following things to Baba and vowed to post in this newsletter once he fulfills my wishes. (1) To cure the illness of my friend's parents without the necessity of a surgery - Ma Sai had obliged by curing them with just a simple procedure instead of the operation. (2) We were traveling to India and were worried about the terror alerts to flights from India and also the recent liquid article restrictions on board and so prayed to Sai to assure a safe trip - Mai Sai not only took care of it but the most wonderful thing is that He traveled all along with us in the form a picture in that day's news paper article about Sai which a fellow passenger had carried with him. We were totally moved to see His picture first the moment we took our seat inside the flight. Baba, please forgive me for posting it a little late. Wonderful are Your ways! Bless us forever.

  • DEVOTEE'S EXPERIENCE

Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi, my Lord and Master, my God, my Friend and my Confidante. What can I write about him when I exist because of his Kripa?

The year was 1999 and we had just moved into Delhi. My wife Anu developed a large tumour on her back. We consulted many doctors. The unanimous decision was that an operation was needed and a Biopsy will be required to decide malignancy. Malignant is a malignant word. We got really scared. My wife has been always been scared of the scalpel. She lost her father at the very young age of 11 years and ever since has regarded Shirdi Sai has her father. So she kept putting off the operation on one pretext or the other, saying - Baba will cure me, etc. The growth meanwhile became the size of a fist and was painful to touch.

One day during the Morning Prayer I asked Baba to spare Anu the operation and said that I would donate the money saved by not having to undergo the operation as building material for Baba’s temple in Sadhaura (a small hamlet near Jagadhari) where some construction was required. Doctors had given us an estimate of Rs. 12 to 15 thousand). Why Sadhaura is another story - some other time.

A week passed and then suddenly a doctor friend of mine whom we had been consulting telephoned me that his elder brother - a renowned surgeon from Lucknow was going to be in town to operate upon his sister-in-law and maybe we would like to seek his opinion in the matter. When we reached the hospital on the designated day the surgeon from Lucknow was operating in the O.T. Soon he came out and my friend told him about Anu's problem. The surgeon told Anu to step into the O.T. so that he could examine her. I waited outside and after 20 minutes or so Anu walked out and told me that she had been operated upon - a sample taken for Biopsy and sent to the lab and we were free to go home! Anu was of course in pain and completely bewildered. When I enquired about the charges, I was told there was no charge because friends do not charge each other! We just could not believe it.

In Delhi where a doctor could charge you even if you asked him the directions to his clinic an operation had been performed without charge! This was a gesture unheard of. We were completely dumbstruck by Baba’s Leela. The right way to get rid of the tumour apparently was an operation, whether Anu liked it or not. Keeping Anu’s fears in mind however the operation had been carried out without any fuss, almost as you would pull out a child’s loose tooth by diverting the child’s attention while saying, let me see... let me see…..and then khat ...it comes out. To top it all no charge because the money thus saved would have better use in a temple situated 200 kms away. This was Sai leela and its fantastic execution to the minutest detail. But then these are small things for my Sarkar, $ainath of Shirdi. And this was not the end. There was more to follow!!

I remembered my prayer and my promise and pledged to complete it soonest. In fact I even called up Shri Navneet Sharma the caretaker and Panditji of Baba’s mandir at Sadhaura and promised him that I will be soon organizing some construction material for the temple. Incidentally this is a small temple standing on pillars in the middle of a pond and some of the structures needed reinforcement and hence the need for cement, iron girders etc.

Time passed and I got busy and kept postponing the promised visit to Sadhaura. After about 6 months as good luck would have it my friend Sanjeev Gupta was going to Shirdi and on the spur of the moment he asked me to join him. So without any program or reservation, off I went see my Sarkar. Summons from the Chief, I thought. We reached Shirdi very comfortably and had nice Darshan. Next day Sanjeev told me about a fine temple of Baba near Kopargaon constructed by Shri Chavan Baba who was himself spiritually a very realized person and was known to our Shri Satpathyji. The meeting with Chavan Baba also known as Dhondi Baba was very eventful. Dhondi Baba seemed to know all about us without our even opening our mouths. We were humbled and moved. Dhondi Baba then suddenly looked at me and said “Rajeev Sahib ek aadmi Dilli se aya tha; usney bola tha ki wo cement aur sariya bhejega. Maloom nathi baad mein nahi aaya” (Rajeev Sahib, one fellow from Delhi had promised 'to send cement and iron girders; did not show up after that). I listened to him, made some sympathetic noises; touched his feet took prasad and came back to Shirdi. While attending the shej aarti the same night, suddenly what Dhondi Baba, had said came to my mind “Dilli se ek aadmi aaya tha...” and I realized the importance of that sentence and realized that woh admi mein hi hun. I felt like a worm, but at the same time I also felt elated that Baba had spoken to me and had gently reminded to do as I had promised. It was again a confirmation (if ever needed) of how forgiving and kind my Sadguru is. After the aarti I shared this with Sanjeev Gupta, my friend who was with me. He too was flabbergasted and gave me his quota of gallis.

Duly chastened, I returned to Delhi and the day after made a plan to go to Sadhaura. Sanjeev, wanting to see the culmination of this Sai leela, joined me.

It is a four-hour drive to Sadhaura from Delhi and we reached around 11 am.

Together with Shri Navneet Sharmaji we proceeded to the hardware shop. I had carried with me Rs. 15000/- as per my promise with Baba. We bought bricks, cement, iron girders, and paid for everything - a total of Rs. 14,850!

We decided then to spend time in the mandir while the goods came in. I had paid for the goods and now felt relieved. Of the fifteen thousand, only Rs. 150 was left. I was happy that my estimate had been right and that we had not run short of money. Just then a bullock cart walla, who had brought sand came to us and said that he had not been paid. Sanjeev and I looked at each other and even though we could guess the answer. I asked him “how much?” “Rs. 150, sahib” of course was the answer!! My Sadguru had even done my accounting for me.

Sanjeev and I were stunned. So was Shri Navneetji. There was complete silence accompanied by tears of gratitude.

Slowly we started back for Delhi with our hearts filled in love and gratitude for Baba Sai the Param Sadguru.

  • Om Sri Sai Ram,
    dear Bhaktas,
recently i had a wonderful experience...
its 2 years now that we are in US,and planing to visit India soon,so i prayed to sai baba that this time when i come home by his grace i ll visit shirdi with my husband and parents.
then i told  my husband about this...
