Sairam! There was a period of uncertainty during the year 1976. At that time, I was working in a temporary position in Highways Dept in Tamilnadu.. As per Government Policy, suitable candidates were recruited through Public Service Commission and I had to face retrenchment due to the sudden posting of regular candidate. Without any warning, one fine morning, I was relieved from my Post. I was around 32 years, married with two minor children aged one and half year and six months. I had no savings and my pay was just enough to pull on through the month. I did not know any influential person. I could rely only upon SAI for my help. I dispatched my wife and children to a distant relative’s house in a village.  I dumped all the house hold articles in one of my subordinate official’s house. He came to my help at the time of distress. Hardly having any money, I dashed back to Chennai and met all the Superior Officers, who pleaded their inability; to help Me. I even met the then Governor of Tamilnadu and handed  over a petition to consider my case. Nothing seems to work out. After a few months, I received a communication stating that I was reverted back to Border Roads from where I came on lien. Now I received an order stating that I was posted to “Leh” sector in Kashmir region. I was in a dilemma. Leaving my young wife and children at Chennai was a remote option. Neither could I take them to Borders. I cast chit in front of Baba’s photo and as per the directions of the chit, I applied for a discharge from Border Roads.

By the grace of Baba, I received a discharge without much botheration! Now the immediate need was to get a Job for survival. Though I stayed with my parents who have no other source of income except my father’s pension which was meager. I was frantic to get a job. Some how I got an offer in Andaman Islands. I could not convince myself. Again I cast a chit in front of Baba. I was guided not to accept the Job! Within 15 days, I got a decent Govt. Job in Telecom Dept in Chennai itself based on a personal interview. Even prior to all these, one day Baba came in my dream and said, “He has created a vacancy for me”. I could not understand this dream. Soon I got a posting Order in which it is written that “you are posted in the vacancy of “Veera Brahma chari” who has been posted to Andhra. I could not but smile at the truth about Baba ‘s indication to me in the dream. Is He not the “Veera Brahmachari? Sairam, Sayipriya.
