Its not good to put Sai in "Acid Test"

Dear Devotees

I have gone through some posts where devotees are seeking help of Baba or rather putting Baba in acid test without doing their home work properly. What I mean that If we have not prepared well for exams ( carelessness) then, in that case we should not ask Sai to pass us. We should work hard (study well) by taking Sai’s name. Then we should appear in exam. We have read article in Sai Satcharitra where a student cleared Medical Exam. But that boy worked very hard. Sai kept his words and astrologer’s predictions failed. But again I am saying that boy worked hard for exam.  Sai himself told that “ Whatever my devotees seek from me, I am ready to give, provided they should deserve it.” So, we should bring ourself up to that level. Then ask Sai, He will give. So, its not good to appear in exams without preparation. If due to some health issues one is not able to prepare well, in that case its good to seek refuge in Sai’s feet. Remember God helps those who helps themselves.

I agreed on this. We should have some ground work for any work we want to do. Sai can show us a way to achive our goals. HE is always there to help us.

I agree to what Mr. Raghav has said. We must try to give whatever it takes to fulfil achieve an objective at first place. It may be easier said than done but ultimately we need to put in our share of efforts for achieving our goals. Baba always provides us with security so that we may not need to fear in persuit of just cause. However, we still should not forget that many times the situation is far more complex then it may seem to be. For example, if someone is not able to clear his exam then it is not necessary that the inputs being given by him are not 'good enough'. On the contrary, many members of the teaching community often act unethically to make the road difficult for the students. Under such circumstances it is perfectly genuine to seek baba's intervention. However, still we should not forget, that Baba knows better than us as to what is good for us and what is not. Many times targets that may seem worthwhile to us, may push us years behind in our quest for salvation and as per whatever little i know about life it is the salvation that is our only goal and problems the means of achieving them. Of course many times we start behaving like spoilt kids who have been provided with whatever they demand, but ultimately everyone has to face tough challenges in this road to salvation, sooner or later.

I have to say that anyone can ask whatever they want from Baba but as said before unless we don't work hard how can we expect God to help us.  Yes Baba can perform miracles, lekin Baba ne humko haath de hain.  Yeh sirf dua keh liya nahin hai, par kaam karne ke liye bhi.

"Let him make a collection of stories and experiences, keep notes and memos; I will help him. He is only an outward instrument. I should write Myself My autobiography and satisfy the wishes of My devotees. He should get rid of his ego, place (or surrender) it at My feet. He who acts like this in life, him I help the most. What of My life-stories? I serve him in his house in all possible ways. When his ego is completely annihilated and there is left no trace of it, I Myself shall enter into him and shall Myself write My own life. Hearing my stories and teachings will create faith in devotees' hearts and they will easily get self - realization and Bliss; let there be no insistence on establishing one's own view, no attempt to refute other's opinions, no discussions of pros and cons of any subject."

Even in the above statement, Baba has given an instruction to Sant. Hemadpant ji to do HOME WORK  that is, "collection of memos, experiences, stories...".

Baba himself has so clearly stated these things.
