Madhukamini Flowers

Sai Ram all of you dear ones,

yesterday Ramesh Ji suggested to me to spread Madhukamini flowers at Sai BABA's feet in my meditation today and see and share what happens. On one hand I still feel a little shy to talk about what happened, on the other the inner feeling is even stronger that, no matter what my perception was, it is something that was meant for all BABA's children ...
Ramesh Ji's beautiful description of the tree in mind I searched for a photograph of the tree on the internet last night to help my imagination a bit. I found only one: Somebody from India had won a Bonsai contest with his Bonsai of a Madhukamini tree - and it was flowering. This gave me the starting point I needed.

In my meditation today I was just somewhere (no idea where) and before I could even complete the thought of 'How do I find a Madhukamini tree now' I stood right in front of a huge most beautiful tree with widely spread branches rich with shining leaves that had just begun to shed its flower petals. It was such a wonderful scene! I stepped underneath the tree branches and held my shirt out to collect the petals, but in the midst of doing so I had to stop and dance a little with my arms spread as an expression of the bliss I felt, because the whole tree was mere love and happiness and shed its love with the flower petals. After this I told the tree that I wanted to collect the petals for Beloved SAI and it was as though it told me not to pick them from the ground but the catch them as they fell. So I did, and the tree did its very best to shed its best and most beautiful flower petals within my reach, because the tree, too, wanted to make them a gift of love to SAI.
When the pouch I had made from my shirt was full, I thanked the tree and wondered where to go now to find SAI, because the whole area was completely unknown to me. I turned around and there He stood. Graciously smiling He walked under the tree and took a seat there. What a moment! It was all bliss! He was Himself, He was the tree, He was me and I was Him and the tree and He was God and the tree was God and I was God ...
I walked up to His feet and said: Beloved SAI, I know you don't need these flowers because you ARE everything already, but please accept them as a humble token of the love I feel for you. Then I began to place the petals around HIS beautiful feet and tried to make it as nice and cosy for HIM as possible. At last I put one single petal on the top of either foot. He ended up with having a mixture of petals and my tears around His feet.
He gently pulled me up and embraced me and held me, and I felt as undescribably wonderful and safe as a child on his grandfather's lap, even so much more so. I have no words to describe this experience. Maybe you can imagine the streams of tears coming from my eyes (even now I'm still putting my keyboard to a serious tear proof test). He didn't talk but still I could hear and feel the sweet sound of His voice. I said: You know, it was Ramesh Ji who gave me the advice of putting Madhukamini flowers to your feet. I know, he said. And the very moment He said so, a boy appeared who was also on His lap and in His arms: Ramesh Ji (I think because I felt like a child, this made me see us as children - symbolical meaning apart). But His love and attention were not divided, He was there with the same love for the both of us and the tree and the whole universe. There we were for a while and when the experience was to come to its end He took two petals of the Madhukamini flowers, one for each of us, and placed them on our foreheads right where the so-called third eye is located.
The scene vanished and after some time of chanting Sai Ram I completed my meditation.

Words are not enough to express my wonder and bliss and gratitude.

At first I thought, this is too much to tell anyone, except maybe Ramesh Ji in a private mail. But then a strong inner nudge arose to share this experience with all of you, because the scene with the two children on His lap and in His arms is not a matter of fact but one of my limited perception. This was not to signify two individual persons (or if it was, then only on its lowest level), but ALL OF HIS DEVOTEES, all men and all women, all of HIS CHILDREN.
What He gives to one, He gives to all.

I have something to share ..

I have a green thumb -  love plants  and gardening is one of my interest..

Ok coming back to madhu kamini
When Ramesh ji told that this gives divine fragrance.. ..
I wanted to know  what tree this is  and what sort of flowers

So i searched a lot - and See sai s leelas - you had to show  me the url to it

Hmmm .. When i  looked at the picture - i said i stay close to this tree... I have seen this

yes indeed these flowers shed such divine fragrance and i had a chance to offer them to baba at home twice on occasions like ..

Here goes  the story ..

This trees grows in the compound of my Apartment owner..with it branches opening towards the  road  and in the morning the flowers are all spread on the  road and gives a good fragrance..

For a few days as the garage of our apartment was still under construction i had to keep my car outside and i used to park my car under this trees for 2 months or so

and when i came in the morning  i was seeing the whole car top would be filled with these flowers just like a beautiful bed

As i have a babas idol( brought from shirdi )  in the car - looking at this i would say  " Baba look  - with all flowers on you in this  you look like you are in a beautiful palanquin .. []
The car is Sai Palkhi ( Palanquin ) i used to say ..

The  look itself was so good - i never used to bother to clean the car top - i used to drive it office the same way


I was not at all knowing these were the Madhukamini flowers
but i just loved the scent of these flowers.. i had never seen them
anywhere before

But one day i told my mother - Ma these flowers  scent so well
Can we offer these flowers  to baba.. ( are they meant to be offered or not )

She said - am not sure nor have i seen such flowers  but since they are very fragrant we could offer them to sai when you do you morning worship..

And it so happened sometime later after a few days for 2 o3 3 days the lady who used to get us jasmine flowers on a regular basis went on leave and so my mother used to get these flowers ( madhu kamini ) for these 3 days and we offered them to baba

Ahhhhh .... So baba loves madhu kamini flowers

WOW ......... How happy am i ...
When i came to know these were the madhukamini flowers
They are just divine flowers

I felt like sharing this here !!
So baba took madhukamini flowers from me without me knowing about it !!!

Dipika ji let me tell some thing - i have not seen them in the market
and i never knew about this tree except for  their fragrance which lingers  even to certain distance ( till i saw what astrid ji posted on the URL  - just see sai  leelas .. oh my god !!! )

May be 2 months back Unknowingly i have offered these flowers  and at that time i said baba we have no flowers today to offer You  hence i am offerng these ( so called madhu kamini)  flowers - they seem so fragrant and i am sure you will like them so please accept them

If these seem not good for you please forgive !!

Ramesh Ji, look at stupid, stupid, stupid me! I told everybody everything and forgot to thank the one I owe all this to. Thank you from the deepest depths and the highest heights of my heart, Ramesh Ji, for the wonderful advice you gave me. And please forgive me that I didn't remember to do so on time.
Of course, anything that happened, it was all Beloved BABA who did it. But it was you who was open enough and loving enough to receive the idea of offering Madhukamini flowers to BABA and passing this idea on to others ... Thank you so much!

Astrid ji could you please where can i get Madhukamini flowers in U.S. Is there any specific name to identify it.

Rupaji,

I'm yet to find out more about the tree. The botanical name for instance would be a great help (Rameshji, do you happen to know ist?). Here in Germany, where I live, there are no such trees at all.
Everythinh that happened, happend on the inner planes. I do not have "real" Madhukamini flowers.
But there's a beautiful lime tree right in front of my house with beautiful yellow flowers in the months of May/June that spread a very sweet fragrance in the early evening hours. Maybe BABA would enjoy them, too.
And maybe that's what it's about: Give what you think He would enjoy, and give with all your heart. Your love us, what makes the gift precious to Him.
Anyway, as soon as I can find out more about the tree, I'll let you know.
