Om Sharavana Baba

Babaji was born to a humble family in the village of Sreekrishnapuram, Kerala.Swami Murali Krishna is the eighth child of Smt Lakshmi Ammal and the late Sri Krishnankutty Gupthan. Despite the definite signs of divinity (always absorbed in prayers and helping others, snakes would frequent His cradle), he displayed after his birth, he was often the cruel victim of ignorance of people who failed to understand, appreciate or acknowledge his real identity.  He was born self-realized: fully aware of his divinity.

Babaji studied in a local village school.  Babaji attended only basic schooling and was a favourite student of the entire faculty.  As a young lad, he was a very active student and would engage in service all the time, helping teachers, staff and other students.  From cleaning to cooking to serving others, Babaji was always joyful, being a role model for other students. As a young student, he was also the class leader and would serve with pride.  Teachers loved to delegate responsibilities to him, as the work would get done.  The school would serve mid-day meal to the students.  Many a times when the cook did not show up, Babaji would seize the opportunity and cook food for the students and serve with so much compassion.

After dropping out from school, as a young boy, Babaji worked several jobs.  Food was scarce at home.  For small sums of money, he worked as a hotel errand boy.  Such was the hardship he endured in rural Kerala, that to earn only a small breakfast, he would carry sacks of meat on his head for a local butcher and walk miles to deliver it to restaurants.  In his teenage years, he regularly visited temples and prayed.  Nothing else interested him.  When necessary, he begged to survive and shared what he received with others.

Despite these hardships and poverty, many people recognized his divinity and sought his wise counsel.  Due to his loving nature and unexplained abilities, people also invited him to their homes to perform devotional ceremonies and prayers.  They sought his advice and blessings and when his followers grew Babaji went public with his mission and started holding public prayers and addressing large audiences in several towns and cities in India.

Babaji was born to humble parents on 11th October 1979 in the village of Sreekrishnapuram in Palakkad district of Kerala State in India.  Babaji was the eight child in a family of nine children.  Since birth itself the parents and siblings have seen miracles and realized the child is indeed divine.

Babaji's mother put him in to rest and went to complete the daily chores.  Upon returning home, she was surprised to see that snakes were playing with Babaji.  Snakes were licking His face and the child was joyful!  She got scared and chased the snakes away!  But the snakes started visiting their home and it became common!  This made the family realize that the child is very special.

The Life of a Master, an avatar is not easy.  The life itself is a sacrifice.  Babaji chose to serve humankind and sacrifice his life for the well-being of the society.  Since a young age, Babaji would beg for alms from home to home and then serve the poor, the needy with the alms collected.  He would never eat / enjoy any of the food He has collected!  His parents and siblings were very upset with this act, repeatedly punishing the lad.

Babaji then started working for daily wages to meet the expenses of the family.  Even Babaji's brothers would go to work to fend for the family.  Looking at the boy’s plight, his uncle decided to relocate him to Trichy and got him a job in a lodge as 'Waterboy.'  His job was to serve water to the guests.  Soon, he became a favourite of the Hotel guests.  The Lodge owner saw the sparkle in the boys eyes and decided to support him.  This is the beginning of Babaji's spiritual journey.

As a teenager, Babaji set up a small pooja room in one corner of the Hotel and began His Sadhana.  The lodge owner’s mother loved Babaji and offered immense help.  Babaji confided in her and explained the Truth - the purpose of his life and the journey thereafter.  She was instrumental in guiding Babaji in the right direction, showering her love for him.

It was on June 9th Dad (my father-in-law)went for a Health check up as doctor told him to do Threadmill Test and cholesterol test.It was evening when dad came back.Till that time mom was alone at home.In the morning she performed pooja and kept one glass raw milk and two bananas as prasadam.In the evening one of our neighbour came to see the pooja room.When talking to mom she told that we are praying for many years in many temples for a child.Mom gave her swami’s vibhoodhi and one banana which was kept as prasadam in the pooja room .In the evening mom lit the lamp and she was sitting in the hall listening to sandhya namangal. It was 7pm when dad came back.My co-brother and their younger daughter came to drop dad. Their daughter ran to the pooja room and called mom to come and see what has happened there.Mom went and was surprised to see that vibhoodhi was poured on the shiva ling and the lamp(as if some one has performed abhishekam with vibhoodhi) and a flower was kept below it.Due to rains in kerala flowers were less,so there was no flower to keep on the shiva ling in the morning.Later she found a white flower was kept below the Mookambika Amma’s Photo and a little vibhoodhi was sprinkled in the center of the flower. And in the prasadam plate the 2nd banana which was there was peeled off and on the top portion mom found that the banana was smashed little and vibhoodhi was pierced into it. And a purple ixora flower(thecchi poovu)which is not in our house was kept in the prasadam plate with a little vibhoodhi. Mom gave that banana as prasadam to dad as in the thread mill test doctor told that dad has block in heart and his cholesterol level was 270 which was too high.Mom was shocked and surprised about what has happened when she was there at home.

On 10th June I went to Calicut and while coming back unknowingly I took all the vibhoodhi which was there on the photos and the theertam in which vibhoodhi was mixed.

On 12th June (Sunday) my sister-in-law , her husband and their two children came home(sai nivas). They went straightly to the pooja room and told mom its like something missing in the pooja room without vibhoodhi on the photos. Later they went out and sat in the sitout after few minutes the children went to the pooja room and called up everyone at home to see that all the photos in the pooja room were filled with vibhoodhi.

On 19th June sister & family came home in the evening.My co-brother,sister-in-law and dad went to dad’s village leaving the children at home with mom. They lit the lamp in the evening. All the three of them were standing in the pooja room and there was no place for a third person to stand there. After giving the Aarathi they found that a banana was peeled in the prasadam plate and vibhoodhi was pierced into it. Before lighting the lamp the banana’s which were kept were the same as it was kept in the morning. But after they gave the aarathi they found that one of the banana’s skin was peeled and vibhoodhi was pierced in it. Later Mom and children were sitting in the dining room and were talking about the miracles happening at home. Suddenly they heard a tick tick sound of switch(on & off).The children told mom Ammama some switch sound is coming from the first floor. within seconds they heard someone walking in the first floor (only 3 steps).All the three got scared .The children started shivering but mom who is the most timid one at home. She told the children that she will go and see who is there in the upstairs. Due to some wiring problem lights were not functioning in upstair rooms.Mom went up chanting”om sharavana Bhava”mantra and found no one there. The next day mom when she was reading swamiji’s vachanamrutham book. In that it is written that swamiji will jump and come in the places where he likes and will sit there forever. Mom realized this had happened yesterday evening.

On 9th July Everyone at home went out to see dad’s sister who is not feeling well. They went at 4pm and came back at 7.30pm.It was too late so mom didn’t lit the lamp. But the children went to the pooja room and found that there was some 10 crystal sugar candies kept in the prasadam plate in which milk and banana were kept in the morning. All were shocked how the sugar candies had come in the prasadam plate which mom had never kept. Crystal sugar candy packet was in the kitchen and the kitchen was closed when they went out. My Sis-in-law went to the toilet in the bedroom when the rest of them were in the living room. Suddenly she heard someone was knocking on the wooden cot with frequent intervals. She heard it for few minutes. Then she peeped through a gap of the door to see who is there in the bed room and found that no one was there. But the sound was been heard in frequent intervals. Later she opened the door to see who is there in the bed room and suddenly the sound vanished. After everyone went mom went and saw the sugar candy packet which was kept in the fridge and found that one side of the packet was open. This shows swami’s presence in Sai Nivas though swami is now in UK which is 1000’s of miles away from here. On 17th July at 4pm my sister-in-law and family came home. Before coming mom called up my sister-in-law and told her don’t come with empty hands. while coming do bring something(like flowers)for swami. For that sister told that she will make payasam and bring .When they came to home mom told sister to keep the payasam in the pooja room as prasadam. she went and kept it in the pooja room. while coming one of their family friends daughter also came with them. All of them went and sat in the balcony in the first floor. After ½ hr suddenly mom felt vibhoodhi smell was coming from the breeze. But she didn’t tell anyone. After sometime again she felt the same thing. Then she asked my sis-in-law whether she is feeling that smell of vibhoodhi. My Sis-in-law told that she felt the smell of agarbathi(incense sticks).Suddenly they realized it might be the smell coming from down stairs. All of them ran down to see what is happening in the pooja room. For there surprise they saw vibhoodhi was showered on the lamp in which oil and wicks were kept for lighting in the evening. The vibhoodhi was soaked in the oil in the lamp. The SaiBaba idols were all showered with vibhoodhi. In the prasadam plate milk and a small bunch of grapes was kept in the morning as prasadam. The girl who came with them told my sis-in-law,aunty u told that swami accepts the prasadam which u keep in the pooja plate. But why swami didn’t had your payasam. Mom lighted the lamp and they all went and sat in the living room. While going that girl told swami might have your prasadam if we move from the pooja room. Within few minutes they came back to the pooja room and were surprised to see that there was little vibhoodhi poured on the top of the payasam kept and on which a black grape was taken from the bunch of grapes and kept on the vibhoodhi in the payasam bowl.The girl who came with them was shocked to see what has happened within few minutes. She took the grape in the payasam and had it as prasadam. she was overflown with joy after seeing all these miracles happened in their presence.

One more thing what they noticed on all these days was the vibhoodhi which was kept in the container was vanishing little by little.And they saw big finger prints in the vibhoodhi which was kept in the container. On 9th June the vibhoodhi which was at the bottom of the container was showered on the shiv ling and an ixoraflower(thecchi poovu)was kept in the empty container.After that mom kept another container of vibhoodhi which was brought from shirdi long back and now big fingerprints are seen in that container. Mom filled that empty container with vibhoodhi and on 17th July they saw big finger prints in both the tins. One more miraculous thing is that the raw milk which is kept as prasadam is consumed by mom and dad in the night. For mom says we don’t know when swami comes and consumes it. So it is kept in the pooja room till night.Like a miracle mom says the quantity of the milk is seen decreasing in the glass at night from the past few days. And nothing happens to the raw milk though kept outside for so many hours. Mom says its really the miracle of baba.

All these incidents were happening only when my co-brother and their family comes to “Sai Nivas” because they have no belief in swamiji(but children are a great believers of swami) and mom’s wish was that swami has to show some miracle in my house and they all should come and feel it. Mom says swami has fulfilled her wish. Now whenever they come home, first they go to the pooja room pray there,have vibhoodhi and then only comes and sit in the hall. Swamiji always used to say mom in his darshan that “amma Anughrahikanne Ennu Prathikku”(i.e.Pray for blessings).Swamiji always says that when we are blessed then all our wishes will be fulfilled.So swamiji has blessed mom and fulfilled all her wishes.In his last darshan swamiji told mom whatever you wish it will be fulfilled by me. Mom is so happy that she is waiting to see swami soon and thank swami for fulfilling her wish and for his presence at home. These type of miracles we have heard and read in books that were happened in dwaparayuga and Threthayuga but now we are seeing in live the divine power of our baba in the kaliyuga.

Om Sharavana Bhava - baba miracle happend in LONDON

We have heard that many miracles have taken place in India, Malaysia, Singapore and UK, and now Swamis’ miracle is taking place in Sri Lanka too. Koddaikallar is a beautiful island surrounded by water (the sea on the east side of the village and a lagoon to the west) situated in eastern province. This very serene and natural beauty is perhaps what attracted Babaji to this particular village.

On the 23rd of June 2011, when Babaji came to our house in Lincolnshire, a picture of Babaji was blessed by him on the request my mother for her sister (my aunt) who had recently become a widow with two young children. Seeing how upset she was, he said “Don’t worry I will be with them and take care of them” little did she know what was about to happen.

The miracle started on the 14th of August 2011, when my mother started her journey from London to Sri Lanka. After having got up from a brief nap she freshened up and closed her eyes and started saying “ Om Sharvana Baba ” 108 times as per her usual routine. Once she opened her eyes she saw the smiling face of Babaji on the small TV screens found on the rear of each seat. Doubting whether she was just imagining things, she blinked and rubbed her eyes but Babaji was still there for some time.

After arriving to our house in Koddaikallar, my mother placed the blessed picture in the pooja room and would regularly pray and light a lamp. On Thursday the 25th of August 2011 , Vipoothi started to come from Babaji’s picture. Vipoothi was continuously coming from the picture for just over two weeks and is still coming intermittently until the present day.

Hearing this phenomenon many people had started to come to see this miracle, although they knew little about Babaji all were mesmerised by what they saw. Many people requested a picture of Babaji, my mother distributed the few that she had taken with her. Hearing this we decided to arrange to pick up some more pictures to send to Sri Lanka, so that some prasadam and a picture could be given to each person who comes. On the 28th of August 2011, we had arranged to pick up some calendar sized images of Swami. We took these and got a dharshan, where they were blessed. During the dharshan he told my children “I travelled to Sri Lanka with your grandmother” and repeatedly asked us whether she was happy, which confirms that my mother had indeed seen Babaji on the flight screen and this was not a figment of her imagination .

It has now become a regular habit that many of the locals come to pray before babajis picture everyday and take blessings. It is also the first port of call when someone becomes unwell, where they come and take a bit of the vipoothi.

Currently, my Grandma, aunt and two cousins are living in the house. It is situated at the rear side of the Kannakai Amman Temple in Koddaikallar.

Om Sharavana Bhava - Devotee experience

It is not uncommon to witness miracles around a Sadhguru and time and again many of Sadhguru Shri Sharavana Babaji’s devotees have shared their divine experiences.
 
 
 
A few months ago Babaji alongwith 20 devotees had visited a holy shrine near Bangalore. Babaji asked all the devotees to carry some mud back with them and keep it safely in their homes. One of the devotees in the group placed the red mud in a small bronze vessel in their pooja place. A few days ago when they opened the vessel they were surprised to see the red mud had transformed into the form as seen in the attached picture.
 
As Babaji puts it true faith and devotion can transform even dirt to divinity!

Dear Devotees,

I would like to describe my experience with sharavana baba here. I had very long journey for living guru before meeting him. I’m an strong devotee of SAI BABA Llike many of you.But my heart was looking for an Guidance & Blessings from Living Guru.One fine day, almost 3 yrs. back, I came to know about him through one of my close friend. I had fortune to meet him in Chennai, He immediately started describing about me & my life.
I was shocked to know the fact that you don’t need to speak anything about you or your problems to him.

Let me explain one of my experience with him.

I’m working in a IT Company and moved to new project which I don’t like. I didn’t expect that project will work in crucial mode and team managers were so worst.
So, I asked for release, informing them that I want to go to Bangalore due to personal issue. Generally if someone looking an transfer, team managers will evaluate and provide the release accordingly.
Later I came to know that due to this team managers, one of my teammate(I didn’t meet her that time, she was an medical leave) went for an long medical leave. These people use to torture us like anything. That girl joined back to the team and asked for project change, but the manager didn’t agree for it.Then she asked for hyd transfer due to her health condition. They didn’t agree that too.
Then she decided to resign her job and put her paper down.

Actually she reported back to the team, but not started her activities. She simply come and Go. I’m her replacement. She doesn’t have any dependency in the team.So,She requested the managers to release her some time before the notice period(2 month notice period here). The managers didn’t agree for it.So HR asked her to pay 50k to release her before the notice period. She was going thorough very tough time there, she even went for counselling and all.
 

I didn’t know all these issues initially since I was new to the team. They started treating me badly once after I asked for the release. One of the manager agreed to go for giving conditional release saying I have to go to Bangalore if I get an project there else I have to report them back in same project. Generally in our company they don’t do conditional release and all. Either they release the resource or they will not. If they release, they don’t mind of their status that where they are going or what they do and all. They released me same day, asked me to look for Bangalore project and informed the Resource management Team also.
That time industry was very down, no projects anywhere. More than that I was not interested to go to Bangalore also.

In the meanwhile, HR Team called my manager to know my availability since they couldn’t reach me thorough phone. My manager(Y) put the phone in speaker and started telling bad things about me. Since it’s an small ODC, MY FRIEND HEARD Everything and messaged me.HR team has mailed me saying to meet them next day. I was on the way to meet swami, my mobile was not reachable that time. I met him, he told “everything will be alright” “nothing to worry”, he assured  me he will take care of everything.

Once after reaching my place, I called my teammate who messaged me and SHE described everything what my manager told to HR Team. I was very afraid to meet HR Next day after this incident. I’m damn sure that I will be vanished. Next day I went to meet that Junior HR. She was busy with some other candidate. I was awaiting for her in the conference room. In that room, all of sudden I met one senior HR who was the one who allocated to my first project in the company. I told her everything, she immediately said that junior HR is reporting to her and she is her boss. She assured me that she will inform her junior to allow me to choose any project which comes by. THE VERY BIG Problem is solved in that place itself. Needless to say I have got project in Chennai and didn’t move to Bangalore.


All these incidents was happening on my year-end rating time. I have got bad rating last year. So this year I have to get good rating(Because our company didn’t perform well in that year, so they had planned to fire the resources those who have continuous bad rating). Since I have moved to new project in mid of the year , my rating has to be taken care by that worst managers. But luckily by swami’s grace, the rating has been pushed to HR TEAM since I was in Bench, They in turn pushed it to My previous manager(X)(He is not even ready for it since our project had huge RAMP DOWN. He has to put rating for more than 10 members who is in same level and got released from HIM). I have worked in 2 different managers in a year. So, as per formality, he asked FEEDBACK About me from my worst manager(Y).He has given very very bad comments( I was reporting him just for 2 months).My previous manager told me directly he can’t give good rating this time. I argued with him, but no use. I told this to swami, he simply said that he will take care. To be frank, I was hopeless, I thought I will be fired.

In a month swami visited Chennai, I was with him and got an call from my friend saying that I have received good rating from My previous manager(X) who is not even ready to give rating for me.
Needless to say, My job is saved and no issues after that.
