                                                   IMPORTANCE OF ATTITUDE
                                                         
    When I was in fifth grade, by teacher was a huge advocate of having a great attitude and promoting that attitude regularly. Before the end of the year, he gave each of us a copy of Charles Swindoll’s “Attitude.” Even though I was too young to appreciate the value in his words, I kept that paper pinned to my bulletin board throughoutn middle and high school. I causually read it every once in awhile, and as the years have gone by I have grown to value and cherish these simple words.

    Although this quote is a bit lengthy, it is one of my favorite passages and something I try to live by daily…

    “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company … a church … a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude … I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you … we are in charge of our Attitudes.” - Charles Swindoll

    I can’t imagine better words to live by, and moreso better words to work by. In all professions a good attitude is one (if not the only) best ways to spread success throughout co-workers and the working environment. However, I think that in public relations, a good attitude is not only a crucial part to one’s job, but an essential instrument in everyday life. In PR, having a phony or forced attitude is transparent to all, and will get you nowhere.

    Having an upbeat outlook on life, as well as a positive attitude, I believe can (and will) get you anywhere. I believe so strongly that what goes around does come around, and those that continually maintain a great attitude will get rewarded.

    most of us think this is the most important  )

    Then what makes 100% ?

    Is it Money ? .. NO ! ! !
    M+O+N+E+Y

    Leadership ? .... NO ! ! !
    L+E+A+D+E+R+S+H+I+P
    12+5+1+4+5+18+19+9+16 = 89%

    Every problem has a solution, only if we perhaps change our attitude.

    To go to the top,
    to that 100% ,

    what we really need to go further... a bit more...




    ATTITUDE
    A+T+T+I+T+U+D+E
    1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100%



    It is OUR ATTITUDE towards Life and Work that makes OUR Life 100% ! ! !
    ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING.

    Attitude~~~

    Once there was an old and very wise man. Every day he would sit outside a gas station in his rocking chair and wait to greet motorists as they passed through his small town. On this day, his granddaughter knelt down at the foot of his chair and slowly passed the time with him. 
     
       As they sat and watched the people come and go, a tall man who surely had to be a tourist -- since they knew everyone in the town -- began looking around as if he were checking out the area for a place to live.
    The stranger walked up and asked,"So what kind of town is this that we're in?"
    The older gentleman slowly turned to the man and replied," Well, what kind of town are you from?"
    The tourist said,"In the town I'm from everyone is very critical of each other. The neighbours all gossip about everyone, and it's a real negative place to live. I'm sure glad to be leaving. It is not a very cheerful place. "
    The man in the chair looked at the stranger and said," You know, that's just how this town is."

      An hour or so later a family that was also passing through stopped for gas. The car slowly turned in and rolled to a stop in front of where the older gentleman and his granddaughter were sitting. The mother jumped out with two small children and asked where the restrooms were. The man in the chair pointed to a small, bent-up sign that was barely hanging by one nail on the side of the door.

     The father stepped out of the car and also asked the man,"Is this town a pretty good place to live?"
    The man in the chair replied," What about the town you are from? How is it?"
    The father looked at him and said,"Well, in the town I'm from everyone is very close and always willing to lend their neighbour a helping hand. There's always a hello and thank you everywhere you go. I really hate to leave. I feel almost like we are leaving family. "

    The older gentlemen turned to the father and gave him a warm smile.
    "You know, that's a lot like this small town."

      Then the family returned to the car, said their thank yous, waved goodbye and drove away.
    After the family was in the distance, the granddaughter looked up at her grandfather and asked,"Grandpa, how come when the first man came into our town you told him it was a terrible place to live and when the family came in to town you told them it was a wonderful place to live? "

      The grandfather lovingly looked down at this granddaughter's wondering blue eyes and said,"No matter where you move, you take your own attitude with you and that's what makes it terrible or wonderful. "
     
    It's your attitude, not your aptitude that determines your altitude. Happiness is not something you find, it's something you create.

    An old man seated in the doctor's waiting room, when called in to see the doctor, slowly got up, and, grasping his cane and hunching over, slowly made his way into the examining room. After only a few minutes, the man emerged from the room, walking completely upright! A patient who had watched him hobble into the room all hunched over, stared in amazement.
     
    "That must be a miracle doctor in there!" he exclaimed. "What treatment did he give you? What's his secret?"
     
    The old man looked at him and said, "Well, the doctor looked me up and down, analyzed the situation, and gave me a cane that was four inches longer than the one I had been using."
     
    How often do we give everyone the same length cane; that is, the same answer for every problem? Then there are those people who see every problem as a nail for which they have only one cure—a hammer!

    While, at times, there may be an element of truth in the above answers, in reality life isn't that simple-neither are our problems. Causes of problems can be complex and multiple and there is no "one answer fits all." And as for pat answers, they are rarely correct, if ever, and are a means of avoiding one's own or another's reality. Not only that, they can do more harm than good to a trusting person.


    May BABA help us to do the same.

    Dear BABA ...
    Please give me ...an understanding heart ...and a sensitive spirit ...so that ...I will always ...understand people's real needs ...
    and meet them ...at their point of need ...
