धनी महाशय एक

अब तो बस ये चाहूँ मैं
ब्रह्मज्ञान मिल जाए

बालक एक बुलाया
पाँच रुपये उधार लाने को
उसको था दौडाया
 
 
खाली हाथ लौटा था बालक
एक नहीं कई बार
कई जगह पर जा कर भी
लाया नहीं उधार
 
 
धनी महाशय हुए अधीर
होती देख अबेर
बोले ब्रह्मज्ञान दो साईं
होती है मुझे देर
 
 
तब देवा ने श्री मुख से
मधुर वचन फरमाया
इस सारे नाटक से तुमको
समझ नहीं कुछ आया?
 
 
ब्रह्मज्ञान की प्राप्ति का
सहज नहीं उपाय
मोह माया से ग्रसित जन
कैसे उसको पाय
 
 
ब्रह्मज्ञान का अधिकारी
सो ही जानो आप
पाँच वस्तुऐॅ त्यागे जो
हो जावे निष्पाप
 
 
पाँच प्राण, पाँच इन्द्रियाँ,
मन, बुद्दि, अहँकार
मुमुक्षु जन त्यागे इन्हें
समझे जीवन सार
 
 
बँधन माने माया को
होना चाहे मुक्त
प्रयत्न करे सँकल्प से
हो भक्ति से युक्त
 
 
उदासीन हो लोक से
चाहे ना धन मान
विरक्त रहे सँसार से
रमा रहे हरि नाम
 
 
अन्तर्मुखी हो मन से जो
इधर उधर ना डोले
लीन रहे परमात्म में
मुख से अमृत घोले
 
 
सभी दुष्टता त्याग दे
पाप कर्म को छोडे
पूर्ण शाँत और स्थिर होवे
नाता ईश से जोडे
 
 
सत्यवान हो, त्यागी हो
वश में कर ले मन
चित्त शुद्ध हो, सरल हो
उज्जवल होवे तन
 
 
ऐसे जीवन साध कर
गुरू कृपा जब होवे
ईश कृपा भी मिले उसे
जग के बँधन खोवे
 
 
ब्रह्मज्ञान मिलता नहीं
लोभ मोह के सँग
मन की काली चादर पे
चढे ना कोई रँग
 
 
पाँच रुपये के पचास गुना
धरे तुम्हारे पास
लेकिन धन की तृष्णा की
बुझी ना तेरी प्यास
 
 
धनी महाशय द्रवित हुए
पाकर मधुर उपदेश
श्री चरणों पर मस्तक टेक

Don't know I am right or not, But just feel, Asish ki iccha rakhna hi galat hai, Guru par itna vishvas hona chahiye ki woh jo denge uchit hi hoga, Yeh icchayen hi to dukh ka karan hai..................sara sansar icchaon ki aag mai jalta hai, Sai ki sharan me aakar bhi mukat na hue, to aisa mauka baar baar nahi milta.................!

You are absolutely right.....we are all messenger of Baba. He talks to us, advises us, guides us, consoles us, shower his blessings upon us through all of us (as the fortunate members of online SAI temples). We get signs of his will through each other's views, articles, prayers and sometimes through poems. We all are the agents of his SUPREME WILL.

OMSAIRAM!Saib bhai i dnt agree on this ...becoz some devotees use to go to Shyama for getting blessings from deva...BABA blessed Dr Pilley and removed his sufferings in 10 days...let BABA decide ...let it be between deva and devotee

take example of Mrs. Aurangabadkar ..Shama, "I know the power of Your word and blessing. Your word will give her a string or series of children. You are wrangling and not giving real blessing".

The parley went on for a while. Baba repeatedly ordering to break the coconut and Shama pleading for the gift of the unbroken fruit to the lady. Finally Baba yielded and said, "She will have an issue". "When?" asked Shama. "In 12 months" was the reply. The cocoa-nut was therefore broken into two part, one was eaten by the two, the other was given to the lady.

The Shama turned up to the lady and said, "Dear madam, you are a witness to my words. If within 12 months you do not get any issue, I will break a cocoa-nut against this Deva's head and drive him out of this Masjid. If I fail in this, I will not call myself Madhav. You will soon realize what I say".

She delivered a son in one year's time and the son was brought to Baba in his fifth month. Both husband and wife, prostrated themselves before Baba and the grateful father (Mr. Aurangabadkar) paid a sum of Rs.500/- which was spent in constructing a shed for Baba's house "Shyamakarna".

agreed we should ask deva to give us what is best for us...let BABA decide being our father what is gud for his kid..

BABA doesnt like any other person interfering in devotion as quoted in SSC

let it be between deva and his devotee...what He gives will be ultimately gud for us  

Baba's Characteristics -- His Dependency on Bhaktas

Baba allowed His devotees to serve Him in their own way, and did not like any other persons interfering in this. To quote an instance, the same Mavsibai was on another occasion, kneading Baba's abdomen. Seeing the fury and force used by her, all the other devotees felt nervous and anxious. They said, "Oh mother, be more considerate and moderate, otherwise you will break Baba's arteries and nerves". At this Baba got up at once from His seat, dashed His satka on the ground. He got enraged and His eyes became red like a live charcoal. None dared to stand before or face Baba. Then He took hold of one end of the Satka with both hands and pressed it in the hollow of his abdomen. The other end He fixed to the post and began to press His abdomen against it. The satka which was about two or three feet in length seemed all to go into the abdomen and the people feared that the abdomen would be ruptured in a short time. The post was fixed and immovable and Baba began to go closer and closer to it and clasped the post firmly. Every moment the rupture was expected, and they were all dismayed, did not know what to do, and stood dumb with wonder and fear. Baba suffered this ordeal for the sake of His Bhakta. The other devotees wanted only to give a hint to the Mavsibai to be moderate in her service and not cause any trouble or pain to Baba. This they did with good intention, but Baba did not brook even this. They were surprised to see that their well-intentioned effort had resulted in this catastrophe; and they could do nothing but to wait and see. Fortunately, Baba's rage soon cooled down. He left the satka and resumed His seat. From this time onward, the devotees took the lesson that they should not meddle with anybody but allow him to serve Baba as the chooses, as He was capable to gauge the merits and worth of the service rendered unto Him.

But still I think that spiritual wishes cannot do any harm in the spiritual development of a person.....

Wish is a dangerous word, one should have aim to attain spiritual development, but how should leave completely on Guru. e.g. If you go to learn computer from a real master, He will take you step by step, We might wish to adopt as per own interest, but It is only Master who ensures to move from basic to advance!

also I feel I should not interfere in (individual) devotion of others, All possess different knowledge, If 5 people Read Sai satcharitra all will interpret differently as per their inner nature and spiritual level. I think it is a lesson, and I should take care in future.

OMSAIRAM!Saib bhai whenever i read Sai Satcharitra it feels like i m learning some new lessons.

i used to think that we should ask BABA to give what is best for us and not what we may desire,but today i listened to reading of Chapter 36 from SSC by Veena Maa..2 instances i quote her showing how BABA gives us what HE tHINKS IS BEST

Baba did not allow Bhagat Mhalsapati to make any money, nor gave him anything from the Dakshina amount,Once a kind and liberal merchant named Hansaraj gave a large amount of money to Mhalsapati in Baba's presence, but Baba did not allow him to accept it.


The other instance is of Mrs. Aurangabadkar

दिखा के तेवर बाबाजी ने
भक्त जनों को दिया ये बोध

जैसे जिसके श्रद्धा भाव
वैसी सेवा कर ले दास
और किसी का हस्तक्षेप
सहन नहीं देवा को आप

मौसी बाई को भक्त जनों ने
शुद्ध भाव से रोका था
पर देवा का 'भक्त प्रेम' भी
सबसे अलग अनोखा था

ना कोई ज़्यादा ना कोई कम
सारे भक्त समान हैं
