I have posted this question on other subject areas of this forum, yet still do not have answers.

I am a new devotee and do not know if it is ok to read religious books such as Shri Sai Satcharitra or the holy gita during menses or not.

I am aware pooja isn't to be done during menses but is reading religious books also not permitted or is it ok to read baba's book during the menstrual cycle?.

Can someone tell me please?

baba sai is above all . i feel as long as our heart is pure with love for baba sai and his manifestations, we can read baba satcharitra in any condition.

just think you can stop reading book of sai, can your mind stop thinking of baba sai.he is all in us.

so you can go ahead with baba reading.

Just after my marraige I went to Shirdi. we had planned to take Sai's blessings immediately after marraige since long......
and we travelled all the way from Jammu to Shirdi for getting His darshan n blessings..
but the day we reached there my periods started but it did not stop me from getting his darshan.....
I believe if he has given us the form of a female with all physiological changes going on in us, it is his creation so why to stop praying and being close to God during that time?
We cant stop uttering his name during menses so why to stop reading his holy book or entering his temple?

Thank you all for clearing my doubts.  It is true that even though I am going through menses, my mind does not stop thinking of baba.

When it is our GURU SAIBABA, there is no restrictions of place time Clenliness Fasting neither the Menstrual cycles. I am regular visitor to BABA's temple right through 365 days being a lady and no way BABA has hindered my worship for him during those for many years now.

This is my personal opinion.

yes every physical activity is designed by god himself. certain rules have been made historically to maintain the cleanliness and hygine. It doesnt matter to god what you read or what you pray or how you pray, it matters to him if you love him . so keep loving him like you you love your child. search for him as a mother who has lost her child in a big city. look for him in every nook and corner with searching eyes. he will appear one day

In today's world of kalyug no one believes in all this yeah i too use to feel earlier that way that i should not durin that time of month but now i make sure that i do take a proper head bath and then start with my pooja.

SO i think you can but after a good bath.
