From 07th Aug to 14th Aug`2013, during the auspicious month of Shravan,
the "Shri Sai Satcharitra Parayan Sohala`2013" was organized @ the Sainagar Grounds`Shirdi
by the Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust`Shirdi in co-operation with the Natya Rasika Sanch,
Shri Sai Sansthan Employees Credit Co.Op.Soc.Ltd and the Residents of Shirdi.

This Parayan Sohala, which is being organized since the last 20 years,
used to be attended by a very few devotees during the first 15 years
but then with each passing year this number has just increased
and now has reached to thousands with the Ladies outnumbering the Gents every year.

The Celebration began on 07th Aug`2013,
with Sai Baba's Photograph, Paduka, Satka and the holy 'Shri Sai Satcharitra' Book
were taken out in a procession from the Samadhi Shrine to Dwarkamai to the Gurusthan
and finally to the Sainagar Ground where the Parayan Sohala was inaugurated by the lighting of Lamps.
After the reading of the Parayan there were various Religious / Cultural programs, discourses & bhajans.

The timing for recitation of Shri Sai Satcharitra for Gents was 07:00 am to 11:00 am,
while for the Ladies it was 01:00 pm to 05:30 pm.

On 14th Aug`2013 - the concluding day, arati of the holy 'Shri Sai Satcharitra' was done
followed by a Mahaprasad Bhandara amidst the on-going Kirtan. Then, at 03:30 pm,
Baba's 'Shri Sai Satcharitra' was taken out in a procession all around the Shirdi village,
accompanied by Music & the beating of Drums while portraying glimpses from Sai Baba's Life.

From 27th July`2014 to 04th August`2014, the Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi)
held various religious/cultural programs for the "Shri Sai Satcharitra Mahaparayan" Ceremony.
Normally only 3 batches of Shri Satyavrat Pooja are held daily in the morning,
ie;07:00 am to 08:00 am, 09:00 am to 10:00 am and 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
But considering the huge rushes of devotees joining in,
the Sansthan organized 6 batches daily of Shri Sai Satyavrat Pooja.
1st batch - 07:00 am to 08:00 am,
2nd batch - 10:00 am to 11:00 a.m,
3rd batch - 11:00 am to 12 Noon,
4th Batch - 01:00 pm to 02:00 p.m,
5th batch - 03:00 pm to 04:00 p.m
6th batch - 05:00 pm to 06:00 pm.

In each batch a 100 devotees could perform the Sai Satyavrat Pooja
and in total around 5000 devotees attended this Mahaparayan.

In the morning the 'Shri Sai Satcharitra' Pothi was taken in a procession from Samadhi Mandir
via Dwarakamai, Gurusthan and arrived at specially erected Mahaparayan Mandap near Hanuman Mandir.
After the arrival of procession and the Kalash Pooja, the Shri Sai Satcharitra Parayan started.
Male Devotees: from 07:00 am to 11.30 am
Female Devotees: from 01:00 pm to 05:30 pm
Daily: Reading 8-chapters of the holy Pothi.
 
The Mahaparayan Ceremony concluded on 04th August 2014
with “Kalyacha Kirtan “ programme followed by “Mahaprasad Bhandar”.

Snehabhojana (Having food together at one place) was organized in the morning.
There was a procession of Holy book of  Shri Sai Satcharitra at 03:30 pm in the afternoon throughout the village
with the sounds of drums, Tal & Lezims. In this procession there large number of readers and local villagers participated.
A show based on Shri Sai Baba’s life history was also staged during the procession.

Various Cultural, Spiritual and Kirtan programs had been arranged during
the 8 days on the occasion of Sai Satcharitra Mahaparayan Ceremony.
