Sai-baba is not a thing to be possessed. He is a being, he is a phenomenon. He is not an object to possess. We do not have to objectify him. Sai-baba is not his images, pictures, statues, his Satcharita - He is much more than this and in fact beyond this if we are capable of seeing. By objectifying him we are doing a lot of disservice to Him, Baba would be highly displeased with us when we hold onto outer shell of Him and not try to reach His core being.
Everyone is trying to have business with Baba. What Baba longs for is communion with Him. A deal with him will make him appear like an opportunity, an investment for worldly life. Understanding him at its lowest ebb would be being fanatic about him and missing Him all the time.
Sai-baba does not reside in this forum, Sai-baba is not in his Satcharita, Sai-baba is not in Shirdi; the moment we find him in our heart, we will find Sai-baba in this forum, in Satcharita and in Shirdi also. Reaching him is not easy, we will have to undergo chiseling every moment, we will be beaten under hammer innumerable times. Writing eloquently about Baba, knowing every detail of Satcharita and using those stories as tools to fight, to wield power, to teach others while missing the point ourselves are so common these days. Being boisterous about Baba is no sign of being spirituality and definitely no sign of being close to Baba. Gaining knowledge in the pretext of gaining ability to overpower others, doing service to Baba as a bargain for achieving name and fame for oneself are so easy pitfalls for anyone to ignore.
There can be pointers, there can be signboards, there can be guidance but the journey of one's self is one's own. Let us not use any spiritual entity for any purpose other than our spiritual benefit. By moving forward in our own life with Baba we will find more and more of Baba and not by trying to possess Him.
