  • Om Sai Nath!

My name is Chandan and I am new to this site which is very nice. Like all of you, me and my wife are devotees of Baba and our lives are guided by Baba's blessings. We have put our lives at Baba's feet and it is He who is taking us where we have to go. We had experienced some profound experiences of Baba's grace like you all do. Once incident i would like to share with you.

2 years back, we left Shirdi after Baba's darshan and were returning to Mumbai (our home) in our car. We had just left the outskirt of Shirdi when my wife told me that something strange was happening. Whichever way she looked, she was seeing the image of Baba in front of her eyes. I told her to sit back, close her eyes and then see what happens. For next 3-4 minutes me and my 13 years old son did not bother her. She opened her eyes, smiled at me and then told us, "you won't believe what i have to say!....the moment i closed my eyes, Baba was before me very vividly. I felt there was kind of fire-like feeling around him and i could not bear it as i felt that Baba was in pain. So i prayed to Baba to remove that kind of image. Next moment everything was calm and i found Baba sitting outside a thatched hut. There was an earthen pitcher near him. I went near him and knelt before him with folded hands. Baba smiled at me, blessed and then poured water from the pitcher which i drank. The next moment I saw Baba moving away from me but there was another person with him. Then i clearly saw that the other person with Baba was none other than Guru Nanak." My wife could not understand how Baba and Guru Nanak appeared together. I told her probably the prophets and saints are always together. The experience itself was so profound that for the rest of the journey we were feeling how lucky we were to have been blessed by Baba with a vision like this.

Few months later we went to our native place to visit our parents and relatives. During this stay, Rupa, my Sister-In-Law narrated an incident related to Baba. Baba appeared in her dream one night and Guru Nanak Dev was by his side. Rupa asked, "Baba, how come you are with Guru Nanak Dev"? Baba smiled and told her," He and Me are the same. We are the same soul, came on earth at different times." Hearing this, we immediately remembered about my wife's vision earlier.

Before this, i was never aware if Baba and Guru Nanak Dev were the same soul. I did not read anywhere (i am an avid reader), nor did i hear from anybody. We felt very strongly that this is a message from Baba that he wanted to convey to us and also may be to his other devotees. After this, i bought couple of books on Guru Nanak's life story which i had not read before. Reading his life story , i found lots of similarities in his and Baba's teachings. So far, we did not share this incident to anybody for the fear of being laughed at. I came across this site today and felt that i should put it up here for all of you to read. I shall be grateful, if you can let me know if anybody else had similar message from Baba?

May Baba bless all of you.

  • OMSAIRAM!Chandan ji Welcome to our online Mandir of Sai baba.
My eyes were bedewed with tears as I read your experience.
    Saints work in unison.
Like Sai baba Guru Nanak Dev ji too wanted to unite the hindus and muslims.

Feeling his end was near, the Hindus said we will cremate you, the Muslims said we will bury you. Guru Nanak said; "You place flowers on either side, Hindus on my right, Muslims on my left. Those whose flowers remain fresh tomorrow will have their way." He then asked them to pray and lay down covering himself with a sheet. Thus on September 22, 1539 in the early hours of the morning Guru Nanak merged with the eternal light of the Creator. When the followers lifted the sheet they found nothing except the flowers which were all fresh. The Hindus took theirs and cremated them, while the Muslims took their flowers and buried them.

Sai baba you alone know your leelas .

Sai baba bless all of us with Shraddha aur Saburi.

Sai baba let your holy lotus feet be our sole refuge.OMSAIRAM

  • Sairam chandan Bhai  - Welcome  !! Nice post- It was very nice reading  you experience .

For SaiBaba's  children its  always really really painful to see Baba in pain..Neverthess he always  undertakes  pains and give us all  happiness.
Ghar Ghar Bhiskha leke  dethe hume Sukh Shanthi ,aur Sammaan- .
Baba would sleep on rags but he would give all comforts to  his children
He has nothing but gives us everything.
For all his divine love- kindness and  affection we cant match it with anyone elses .

The experience like your wife had got -  where Baba  along with other saints has  happened to many  devotees - that shows Sai Baba was all saints in one-  All saints are the same soul and as verily said by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavath Geetha - "The great saints, sages, and all the creatures of the world were born from My potential energy."

NOt only that Baba has appeared and given the istadevaswarupa to many people - like he would appear to some as Lord Rama ,Krishna , Ma Durga depending on each ones beliefs'

The second part that you narrated - <<<Next moment everything was calm and i found Baba sitting outside a thatched hut. There was an earthen pitcher near him.>>

took  me to Shirdi and Shri Sai Satcharitra-->  Chapter XLVIII ---> Warding off Devotee's Calamities

You and your family are blessed to get such visions of Sai Baba
May you be  always feel blissful presence of our pujya Shri SaiBaba every moment.
Thanks for Sharing Sai leelas with us all - May Sai Baba bless you and your family

    Jai Sairam

  • JAI SAI RAM!!!

Chandan Bhai welcome to BABA SAI's Blessed Online Mandir.  Nice to read your lively experience.  Chandan Bhai since you have mentioned similarities in BABA and Guru Nanak Dev Ji I must tell you that being sindhi myself we all sindhis follow the teaching and faith in Guru Nanak Ji.  Since childhood I have seen my family strongly been following Guru Nanak's teachings & philosophies and even my marriage was Solemnized on Guru Granth Sahib and till recently I had been doing regular Sukhmani Paath.  And many Sindhi families have Guru Granth Sahib in their home. I used to go only to Gurudwaras and never knew anything of BABA SAI till 10 years back and I don't know what and how I have been attracted and switched towards BABA SAI.

Now since I saw your topic I can say and vouch that I too see Guru Nanak Ji in our BABA SAI.  Its is a mystery and only mystery that I have now been deeply attracted towards BABA SAI in whole of my family and see in HIM my Nanak.

Like Guru Nanak, Our BABA SAI is the King of Fakirs and to the Hindu a Sadguru, and to the Mussulman a Pir.

Like Guru Nanak who used to say that There is Only One God Truth is His Name...Ek O'Onkar Satnam......BABA SAI used to say Sab Ka Malik Ek.

Once again Chandan Bhai nice to have you amongst us.

    OM SAI RAM!!!

    Chandan Bhai,

I was so happy after I read you post as I felt at one point I was the only one who felt this way.

A few years ago I was not into religion.  I used to go to the Gurdwara very seldom.  Then I started to read up about Sikhism and was becoming more religious.  Only last month something started to pull me towards Sai Baba, I wanted to know more about him.

I felt really guilty as I felt I was compromising my beliefs as a Sikh by praying to Sai Baba.  In Sikhism we are told to pray only to the Guru Granth Sahib and nothing else.  Somehow I feel that the message Guru Nanak wanted to convey has been lost over time.  Guru Nanak said the same as Sai Baba that there is no Hindu and no Muslim, so why are we forbidden to pray at another religious place other than the Gurdwara?

There is a Samadhi in my in-laws village in India and whenever I go I always pray there and have felt such bliss, but talking to my learned Sikh friends I have been told I should not pray there.  I have always felt religion divides people and this is not what God wanted.

I have too found that the teachings are very similar.  If God does not hold any predjudices against who we are regardless of colour, gender, class etc, then why should we?  Some people spend too much time trying to prove their religion is right, rather than be good human being and remember God all the time.

Aval Allah noor upaya, kudrat dey sab bande, Ek NOOR tey sab jab upjeya kaun bhale kaun mande.

  • CHANDAN JI,
    OM SAI RAM.

CHANDAN JI, I DONT KNOW HOW TO THANK YOU?

CHANDAN JI, YOU WILL NOT BELEIVE IT BUT YES I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME.

ONE DAY I WAS SITTING IN MY POOJA. BABA WAS IN MY DHAYANA, SUDDENLY BABA'S PICT. WAS CHANGED TO "GURU NANAK".

I TRIED TO DO PRANAMA TO BABA SAI BUT AGAIN I HAD A SMILE FROM GURU NANAK.
FIRST OF ALL I WAS CONFUSED. THEN I THOUGHT, AS GURU NANAK ALSO HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART SO IT IS THE RESULT OF THE SAME....................

BUT THE NEXT MOMENT.......... I HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE AGAIN..................

SUDDENLY I HAD A VOICE FROM MY INSIDE PERHAPS BABA WANT TO SAY THAT BABA SAI AND GURU NANAK BOTH ARE THE SAME.................

BUT IT WAS MY OWN THOUGHT SO FAR, HENCE I WAS NOT SURE FOR IT. I THOUGHT, IT COULD BE MY OWN THINKING SO WHAT TO DISCUSSED WITH .........................?

BUT TODAY WHEN I READ YOUR POST, I GOT THE ANSWER OF MY QUESTION (FROM BABA SAI THROUGH YOUR POST)................YES !BABA SAI AND GURU NANAK BOTH ARE THE SAME..........................

"BABA IS GREAT, BABA'S LEELAS ARE GREAT"
