Saichitra is holy book of Shirdi Sai Baba. It has all His leelas in His real life. You can get this book from any Sai Temple.Its very famous book. Start reading this book with full devotation from Friday & do udapan on Thursday.

Udhapan method:After completing Saichitra take some sweets or fruits or anything u like for Baba & after offering Him Bhog then distribute it to poor people & get some prasad back home also for family members.

U can leave yr favourite meal like rice, chapati, fruit, tea, coffee, anything u like the most in front of Baba. after yr wish is fullfiled then offer Baba bhog of what u left & then u can start taking it..

Please do it with full devotation then only u will get sucess..

"SHRI SAI SATCHARITRA"
The wonderful LIfe and Teachings of SHRI SAI BABA

"Shri Sai Satcharitra"  is the holy book, which helps devotees to learn
how BABA lived HIS simple life before HE attained samadhi in 1918.

Reading of this Holy Book "Shri Sai Satcharitra" help us learn and
build our character and life.

I would say , it is something to be felt by our relationship and bond
with BABA, who alone can understand how a true saint can act
on him or her.  What require is, complete surrender to our SADGURU's
feet and HE will take care of the rest

I would also like to brief you  the procedure for weekly parayan
of "Shri Sai Satcharitra"


Saptah Parayan (Weekly Parayan)  (सप्ताह परायण)

Basically there is no specific procedure for the prayan of "Shri Sai Satcharitra" .

सप्ताह परायण involves reading the "Shri Sai Satcharitra" in one week.
One has to start the parayan from  Thursday and finish reading it next Wednesday.

Every morning after a bath, light incense in front of Baba's photo and
ask for Baba's blessings to be able to do Saptah Parayan successfully.

Fasting during the parayan: In "Shri Sai Satcharitra" BABA himself
never suggested to fast (remaining hungry or eating specific food like fruits and faral).
If the hunger of stomach is knocking on the doors of mind, how can we put our
awareness on divine energy?

So when one is near God or divine or one stays near the God or divine grace,
it means upvaas. So reading of "Shri Sai Satcharitra"  itself is upvaas.

You can read "Shri Sai Satcharitra" anywhere if you do not have a temple at home.

Just make sure that when you are reading "Shri Sai Satcharitra",
your mind is not distracted by things around you.

If possible  try to prepare some prasad for BABA during the day
and offer it to HIM.

Try to read 7 chapters every day.

Either you can read all the seven chapters all  at once in the morning or
you can read it through out the day at your convenience.

The idea being that your mind should be devoted to BABA during the day.

Have BABA in your thoughts and your speech.

Divide the chapters for each day as under:

Day 1 Ch 1-7
Day 2 Ch 8-14
Day 3 Ch 15-21
Day 4 Ch 22-28
Day 5 Ch 29-35
Day 6 Ch 36-42
Day 7 Ch 43-51

If you cannot read seven chapters on some day for some reason, its alright.
Just try to complete the Parayan by the end of 7 days.

The last chapter of "Shri Sai Satcharitra" explains in detail about सप्ताह परायण.

It covers पूजा (Prayer) फला श्रुति (Reward of study of "Shri Sai Satcharitra")
and  प्रसाद याचना (Offering of prasad)

Focus on trying to understand the stories and not on trying to read it all up
like a task to be done.

Try not to say anything bad to anyone.

You would notice that reading it gets done faster than you imagined.

Everyday, after you complete the parayan, place 2 coins in front of BABA, as offering
signifying श्रद्धा (Faith) and सबुरी (Patience). At the end of 7th day, donate these coins
among the poor people.

As mentioned earlier, there are no hard and fast rules for the Parayan.

All BABA want is love and HE did not believe in outward rituals .

If the devotees have firm faith in BABA , parayan shall have its result.

Always remember that we may ask for many things from BABA,
but BABA knows what is best for us
and will give us what is best for us ONLY.

I even ask for forgiveness. I even ask to put faith and devotion in me if I don't have it. So what am I doing so wrong that  I don't get my wish.

I used to like someone so much. And with baba Kripa she came in my life but baba took her from me in 1 day

Q: Why does the divine answer and reward some while prayers of others go unanswered?

Well, I don’t know why some prayers get answered and some are not.
I have no idea. Perhaps it is good for you. Perhaps you may change your mind about
what you want. People go to shopping, this often happens at least in India, and
ask shopkeeper, “Can I come later and exchange it if I don’t like it”. They go home
and don’t like it and get it exchanged next day. Most unreliable thing you have is
your own mind because you don’t know what it likes and when it doesn’t like that.
That is why bringing mind to its source is so important. Its centeredness is the
most important thing in spiritual evolution. Understanding what is transient and
what is permanent, what brings you permanent joy and what causes temporary
convenience and long term misery, what causes temporary discomfort and
permanent joy, and what causes long term discomfort.

That is what is called viveka, sense of discretion, wisdom – knowing this from that.

OM SAI RAM, SRI SAI RAM, JAI JAI SAI RAM !!!
