In SSSIHMS there is no place for desecrated thinking and I naturally wished to get the blessings of Shirdi Sai Baba- for people come from far and near for pilgrimage and it is said that not all get this rare opportunity either ....you are called fortunate if you get to visit even once...that too in plenitude. The trip to Shirdi was a long time plan as it is but could not be a reality due to unavoidable circumstances....At last as fate would have it ....it clicked on time right after 2013
Christmas....My name was the first in the list of passengers of 40 booking for flight to Pune and package round trip to Bangalore, courtesy Flight Package to Shirdi by Saniya Holidays
http://www.saniyaholidays.com....Fri 27 th dec ‘ 13----Took the Vayu vajra from JP ngr....1030 pm and reached Devanhalli in an hours time Waited in airport till 4 am napping---had switched off mobile—to save power for long bus journey .Meanwhile Sadiq -our guide tried to contact me and I being totally unaware- at the last min had an intuition and in time was able to inform that I had already checked in..he was on the verge of cancelling my ticket—Swami ! I never compromise when it comes to monetary and time issues yah-...got it in my genes, I guess.
Thus, we started on Sat early morn 4 am checkin... no hassles. Clambered towards the aircraft....spice jet Capable of some nautical miles...above ground level.555 hrs flight took off— the site from the jet was spectacular. Incidentally mom had taken the same flight 3 days earlier to Pune and other pilgrim spots within Gujarat . Unfortunately due to dense fog we diverted to Mumbai and halted for 2 hrs till sky cleared...Landed at Pune...volvo bus waiting to take us to Nasik for breakfast and , lunch—further from there- Missed Thryambakeswar Jyotirling temple, Nobody minded since we were excited to reach Shirdi.....stood in good stead, to say. Visited Kala Ram, Gora Ram temples, Sita Guha and Triveni sangam. Highlights-breakfast-was south Indian style , lunch north type and dinner south Indian Again. Food was palatable and we thanked the inmates for providing scrumptious meal ....then off to Shirdi for halt at night....hotel accommodation individual suite for me since I was acting med off for casualty....one elderly gentleman from Shimoga had diarrhea and vomiting....I had to advise him with free prescription....what an incredible experience indeed ! Not to add paprika anymore...Halt at Shirdi-Reached hotel- moved in 12 mn what a relief –slumped into the bed ...cold water greeted us next morn ....weather was cool....no real need for warm clothing...530 hrs reached Darshan line 6 am Darshan line started moving ,....with constant recital of Shirdi Sai stuthi –what a bliss....!!
By 11 am completed.....had good Darshan face to face with SaibabaQueue for Darshan was long, saw Dwarkamai, museum, book stall, myrtle Peepal tree in the middle of the mandir premises, got Vibhuthi Prasad ...made humble Hundi donations.... all in universal norm. After we exited the premises we did some shopping, when we realized that our shoes were missing -it is said, there is no place for delinquency at Shirdi. Finally we realized that our footwear was at the Entrance and we had come out from the other side, finally found our shoes ....
Then we had lunch...and started back to Nasik, dinner following ....Towards the end of the trip...visited Shingapur Shani temple Maha-Ganapathi temple....Reached airport after dinner....departed 11 pm During the flight, a 10 year old boy was my neighbor , grand mother on the other side ....aspiring to become an astronomist, we had a discussion on Bernouillie’s principle Landed at 2 15...back home by friend’s car and to bed.....
Uneventful flight, excepting for the jet crew members wishing us new year greetings . My heart felt gratitude to SSSIHMS for providing leave without which this would not have happened...
