Dear Sai Brothers / Sisters,

I am Yogendra N Joshi from Mumbai, India. I am here to share my experience of Saibaba's grace on us recently on 25th Aug'13. I live in Mumbai with my family which comprises of my parents, my pregnant wife, my elder brother, sister in law and their beautiful daughter of 2.5 years. On a saturday morning we left with a Chevrolet Tavera rented car with a driver to Shirdi via Shani Shingnapur. The day began at 7.00 AM and we reached on our way to Shani Shingnapur at around 2.30PM, had our darshan and left for shirdi. We came to shirdi around 5.00PM, had an hour of rest and then took baba's evening darshan. Everything was so beautiful on this day. We had Shani Dev's darshan, my mother who is an Arthritis patient went to Baba's darshan through gate no 3 with my pregnant wife, while I and rest of my family took darshan through Queue's. We were done by 10PM and next day we were suppose to leave Shirdi at 9.00AM. My Brother, father and bhabhi didnt had darshan of Dwarkamai, Chavdi so next day i.e Sunday morning they did their darshan and we got late to leave from Shirdi i.e 10.30AM.

We just took the left which is a single highway from which vehicles come and go. We had just moved out of shirdi and we were all having merry time chitchatting, my wife was busy caressing her babybump, my bhabhi was in sleepy mood and her daughter of 2.5 years was already asleep and suddenly a Giant Truck of Ashoka Leyland came straight on our car. Our driver tried his best to give way to the truck driver, but on the same location where our car was, a man was walking and to save him our driver took a little right and by the time he again comes down to give way to the Truck Driver, He banged our vehicle with such a huge impact that we all didnt knew where our car was going and everyone was screaming. I can still feel the goosebumps while writing this story. The car came down of the road and due to mud stopped in a grass filled area and all the glasses of car was so badly shattered that we were in complete shock. When the car stopped after the accident, I along with my brother recollected my senses and saw that my mom had got a huge jerk on her face and it had got terribly swollen, my bhabhi's hand broken as she was right behind the driver and was screaming in pain, my right hand full of blood and all glasses poked in my hand. Driver and my father luckily ducked down when they became sure that the truck was going to bang on us and luckily my father didnt had a single injury except for mukka mar and driver's shoulder dislocated. My Pregnant wife was in the middle seat and she too witnessed the accident due to which she was in trauma and her head was revolving round and round. But I didnt let her sleep as I was frightened that she might go in coma.

Immediately after the accident around 30-35 people gathered around the spot but only 2 people came to our rescue, those 2 people I consider as my real relatives who were sent by Saibaba. Their name was Sunil Pawar and Sagar. They immediately helped us to get into their Qualis and rushed to a place called Chande-Kasara where we immediately got titanus injections, I got my initial glass removed from my hand and legs as I had forgotten my sleepers in the car. My bhabhi was the most painful as her hand had broken and got zig zag in shape and immense pain was flowing in her mind and physically. She was so frightened that she was calling each of our names and asking if that person is safe. Only after we all gave assurance that we are all safe, she started fighting only with her pain. Our little princess had escaped unhurt with only a small scratch due to glasses broken due to impact of the accident. The small clinic at Chande-Kasara helped us to get to a bigger hospital at Kopergaon named Phadke Hospital. Over there as well, we were immediately treated with the best staff available on duty. Even the Omni driver who took us to the hospital was our relative who named my bhabhi "Didi". We were short of cash as we had never planned for such a dangerous accident but luckily we didnt even had issues monetarily. After the initial dressing, plaster of my bhabhi and my wife, my mom's xray we were immediately given painkillers to relieve the immense pain. My wife suffered a lot of pain, even today she is having pain to get up when she sleeps and tries to get up but our baby in her womb is untouched by this accident, infact we had a sonography immediately when we returned from Shirdi and the baby was kicking, playing so actively as if it was saying, "Mom-Dad dont worry, I am fine :)". My bhabhi had a surgery at Sanjeevani hospital in Malad with best orthopaedic doctors, best staff to help, best food to eat, which is helping to recover faster. My Mom's swelling is slowly getting better and her face is almost looking normal now but her leg is still hard as stone and will take another month's time to come back to normal.

That was the most dangerous and pathetic time of our lives, when the accident happened, I along with my mother immediately started asking Saibaba why this happened and as we both are the ones who believe in Baba a lot but after thinking deeply with true heart, we felt that he along with Shani Dev and Ganpati Bappa helped us to minimize the impact of the accident as otherwise without their blessings today we all would have died. It was only because of his blessings we met the qualis driver, the small clinic at Chande Kasara, Phadke Hospital, Sleeper bus @ Shirdi who drove very carefully while coming back to Mumbai, Those doctors and staff @ Sanjeevani hospital and the most amazing extended family who took care of us during this phase of our lives.

I along with my family would thank to Saibaba, Ganpati Bappa and Shanidev for protecting us and wish that no one should see the time as we saw and that Baba should always protect the people who are coming - going shirdi.

Thanks,
Yogendra N Joshi

  • I don't mean to be rude by this post.

Last year a bus carrying 50 passengers fell down in a valley which was bound to shirdi and about 40 people died on spot.

If we say baba is the one who saved people in YogendraJ ji's incident, then baba only should be the one responsible for that bus accident too.

When people get saved from some thing , we say its his grace and when people die, we say its peoples fate.

Am I not understanding some thing? Are we all praying baba what we have to pray for?  Why are we relating everything to God?

YogendraJ ji, I am pleased that you are out of a big accident. I dont mean to criticize your post or flip your faith on god. I just thought if some one can help me understand and clear my doubts.
