wat is the most effective way to get sri sai blessing and talk to babaji...?? i cant go to the temple or shirdi as parents wont allow.. i cant go outside to feed a black dog or give alms.. as they would find all this weird..!!!

The best thing about Sai Baba is that you do not need to go to a temple or shirdi to proclaim your love, faith and devotion in Him.

The ever merciful and benevolent Sai knows the situations and conditions that each of his children are in ...

So even if there is an issue with feeding animals or giving alms .... i am sure Sai Baba will understand ...

Just remember His name in your heart with pure faith ... and place all your confidence in Him ... if you are courteous with other people and help those in need as and when a situation arises that is also equivalent to a prayer to Sai ...

And i am sure Sai Baba will shower his blessings on you always ...

To "understand" the life and teachings of Sai Baba, and consequently experiencing his omnipresence, omnipotence and omniscience is the live in under Sai Baba's shade !

Irrespective of whether you do Parayana or not, do service to animals or those who are poor or not, go to temple or not, sing his bhajans or not, do namajapa or not - if you dont UNDERSTAND Sai Baba, they will all be ineffective.

So whenever you do bhajan or Parayana or Aarti, try to understand who Sai Baba is and why He did all those miracles. That in my very humble opinion is the way to get His blessings.

you can watch some of the movies online , like the most i like is the one director by Manoj Kumar 1977.
and there are lot of movies on sai baba,there is one more serial comes every day "Sai bhakto ki sachi kahaniya" on 9x 8-8.30 - its based on real miracles happened to sai devotees in their life.
when u do all this u will become close to baba.......and you will understand his messages and how he will communicte to u.
Even some people get baba's messages while watching sai baba serial. etc

May be this is highly personal, but Baba as shown on TV, is NOT the Baba we read about in book like Sai Satcharitra, Sai Baba The Master, Sai Leelamruthamu. In my humble opinion it is better to avoid such serials than to spoil our "image" of Baba that is formed my His miracles and books on Him.

Dear  Asterias, Yes the quality of our Life is based on present and past Karma's. As to whether Baba is stronger or Karma - We cannot compare an apple with an orange can we ? Sai is Lord incarnate and Karmas are our deeds. By praying to Sai you are trying to reduce the effect of the bad karma's on your life. and thus have a better quality of life. The more you pray to him with sincerity and the more you try to live life acording to his
teachings, the better your quality of life will be . Om Sairam.

Are Baba and Karma two different things ? If you say that by praying to Baba we can reduce the effect of Bad karmas then that means that Baba is necessarily more powerful than karma, also - it means that the analogy of apple and orange fails

And if Baba reduces our suffering only by praying .. then is Baba - Karuna mayi or is He a businessman Does He reduce our sufferings only if we pray ? Why cant He otherwise reduce our sufferings ? If he is sarvavyapi, sarvashaktimaan and sarvagnya - does He not know that I suffer ? Does He have to wait for me to pray ?

I am not here to offend anyone. I apologise to the various sai bhaktas here if they are getting offended. My intention is purely to discuss and improve ourselves.

Dear Asterias,

There are more enlightend souls here than me but i will try to answer your queries to the best of my ability and knowledge. In my opinion , Baba and Karma are different , The deeds are yours whereas Baba is lord incarnate .How can you compare your deeds with Baba ? so the anology of the apple and the orange stands.

Every person has to suffer their bad karma's , and Baba is all you mention him to be. But God did not create this world and its creatures to be flawless so if you have flaws and you have done bad karma's and you dont even realize them , although Baba knows everything , he is waiting for you to go to him and tell him you have realized your mistakes and you want to open a new chapter in his life. By reducing your sufferings Baba is taking upon those bad karma's of yours upon himself hence he is not gaining anything from it , infact he is suffering .  I am yet to meet a businessman who wants to suffer himself and make others prosper.

As to why you need to go to Baba, When you were in your schooling years (maybe u still are , i dont know) did you go to the school , or did the school come to you with the teachers et al and teach you. We went to school because we wanted to learn. similarly we go to Baba to tell him that yes Lord i know i have sinned and i have come to you to get your blessings.and then he analyses how truthful you are , your faith is , your realization of your mistakes are and accordingly points you in the right direction. (as we have exams in school to know , whether we studied or not and if yes how well).

What you say really opens a lot more questions -

1. How did I get karma in the first place. If this is my first birth - can have any type of karma  - Sanchita or Prarabdha ?

2. I equate Baba to a businessman and not Karunamayi - because He expects us to pray and without our praying He is not listening to us. He is a businessman in the sense that without prayers He is not coming forward Himself. He is a businessman because He is suffering (giving us goods) based on our prayers ( our money)

3. If you call Karma and Baba different then say that Baba is more powerful than Karma then how can you use the analogy of apples and oranges. Apples and Oranges are both fruits. Are Baba and Karma both similar (in sense of fruits)

4. Whom do you call Karunamayi ? How do you define someone as benevolent? If you compare Baba to school then I say that the fees are the prayers without which there is no admission. Baba seems benevolent once fees (prayers) have been paid - in this sense He is NOT benevolent.
